Hi everyone. First time on here as a member so excuse the lack of introduction. I haven't grown for quite a few years. Started again and went for mills nutrients in coco which is what I've used successfully in the past. The calculator has changed and I've had nothing but problems. Lockouts and high runoff. Looking at the new calculator compared to the old one there's a huge difference in ec values. Has anyone else run mills recently and can give any insight on what calculator or chart.ykire using? Thanks guys and gals.

I use mills in coco, I don't use any additives other than Cal/Mag so i can't advise on those.
I use 1 tsp. of both A and B per gal.
1/2 tsp. of which ever N (ph 5.9), C4 (ph 6.0)or PK (ph 6.2)
My PPMs are right around 450
Never have deficiencies or burns.

*guess I run about half their schedule

450ppm throughout the entire cycle?
How much calmag are you using too? I've been on and off with calmag due to how much I've been struggling to keep the ec in the right range withoit spikes etc.

With young vegging plants i start first feed at half strength and by 3rd or 4th watering, hand watering, I am at my full strength nutrients.
I have been hand watering for years using this recipe, successfully.
Active hydro is slightly different.
I only add base a and b, cal/mag while adding water to the res.
I may add stage specific nutrients once during the week before changing res.

Are you getting on any better with the flood and drain system? My reason for switching is here in the UK we have to stealth grow so mine is in a damp basement, I've got 2 dehumidifiers running. One outside the tent one inside the tent and that keeps my rh around 55% 60% that's the lowest it'll go. But with the dehumidifier in the tent running it just drains the fabric pots so salt buildup is an issue, I could water more frequently but then comes far more cost for nutrients and not only that, the 12hr lights off period is when it's hit the hardest with dry backs. So I think flood and drain is the only method I can use going forward.

The problem with the chart is why such a change in amounts of ferts. Huge difference in ec values. I just wish I could remember how I used to do it and what chart I used to follow. My grows was flawless towards the end of my time doing it but this is my first one again in quite a few years and nothing but issues. Week 9 today and hardly any cloudy trichs. Is the excess nutes causing stunting 🤷🏻‍♂️ wits end. 😂

I am growing exactly as you are.
Stealth grow, basement, flood and drain. In flower, though i do still have 10 plants i water by hand. My veg area is hand watered.
Try my recipe as a starting point.
Sometimes, less is more.

I'm going to switch to plagron when I do my next run in flood and drain. I've only got about 2 weeks left on this run anyway, week 9 now, 5 are done waiting for the last one to catch up a bit so I'll keep an eye on the trichs and make sure they aren't going over while the last one catches up.
