Many farmers in Colorado will be expanding their list of planted crops this Spring after groundbreaking legislation was passed last November that allowed not only for the legalization of marijuana, but hemp as well. Now in case you’re not familiar, hemp is actually a multi-purpose substance that does not produce the high effects of marijuana. In fact, it’s mainly used as a super cheap and highly efficient building material — at least in other nations where ridiculous bans are not enforced on the ‘high-free’ material.

Colorado farmers like Michael Bowman will be planting 100 acres of hemp to be harvested and sold off as not only building material, but a highly nutritious superfood. While marijuana is considerably high in the substance known as THC (delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol), which of course is the compound that produces the ‘high’ effects, it’s also significantly low in what’s known as CDB (cannabidiol). That’s where hemp comes in. Both THC and CDB are known as cannabinoids, but hemp is particularly high in CDB while lacking in THC.

Proximity would play a part in that, but if so, using misters would go a long way toward preventing unwanted sex.

gonna keep the feds busy! not only will they have to chase mj growers but now hemp growers, lol. what a fucking cat and mouse game ya know? all because of money and control.

Yea its bullshit......but its ok to import hemp from canada and sell it. Actually the whole reason the tax stamp passed in the 1930's was because big oil realized that hemp could replace our need for oil so they shut it down. If you really want to open up a worm hole start reading about nikola tesla "zero point free energy". Yes thats right all the free energy we need is floating around in space and can be transferred anywhere wirelessly. The technology has been there but big oil has a reputation for violently shutting down any sort of free energy like nikola tesla's free energy generators and hemp. Here is a video that will blow your mind and is a little off topic but will give you an idea why our government always stops any real innovative solutions to our energy crisis....

I think him growing hemp is pretty awesome. I'm all for hemp I think it could bring down the price of alot of things. if it wasnt for petro chemical and big pharma we would probably have at least still been growing hemp since marijuana proibition started. Any one near this land he is going to be growing hemp on is in danger of cross pollination within 10 miles i think is what ive heard. I do believe NORMAL has something about this problem.

This is the problem....There is a movie on netflix about Hemp, and one of the stories is about The Lakota Tribe in South Dakota who can "legally" grow hemp on their reservation,(American Govt has a treaty with Native Americans) but the DEA still comes in fall and irradicates. No one ever gets arrested, but the DEA still illegaly enters on the thier land and destroy's their crop. I have also read about this same tribe in High Times many moons ago.
Montana has had a hemp law on the books since 2004, yet no one will take the chance and plant it because of the FEDS.(risk of siezure of their land) I have about 1000 hemp seeds that I ordered and Im still looking for a piece of land where the owner would let me cultivate it. I would bet to say that the FEDS will not let get through the cracks, unless it is kept on the downlow.
If I am able to find that piece of land, I will most certainly not be telling anyone,except the state to get the 2yr permit , but more importantly the press. Loose lips sink ships.

Hemp and MJ will not generally be grown in the same areas. The mountains will be where the mj is grown - hemp will not do good up there due to the short growing seasons. MJ will thrive up there as the higher elevation/energy seems to stimulate THC production. FYI: THC is the "sunblocker" molecule for the Cannabis Sativa species.

If hemp is grown near mj, the mj people will need to filter incoming air. They will have to pay for this themselves.
