L.E.D. Iight Emitting Diode.
A diode glows when electricity is added to it. Think of a light bulb with the filament inside. When you add electricity, the filament heats up and gives light.
LEDs are almost the same thing except they don't have filaments. The light is caused by the lightning bolt between the two contacts inside the diode.
It takes a very small amount of juice to activate a diode and they give off much more light than the electricity they use.

If I put 10 volts into a diode, it will give off 100 bits of light. If I add another diode and put the same 10 volts, they will both put out 99 bits of light. They are ganged components. The more of them you have together, the more intense the light for almost the same amount of electricity. This is why they are so popular. They run on a small amount of juice and still give nearly as much light.

Diode quality has a lot to do with clean standards. The more pure the doping is (doping=coating a diode), the better quality of light and the more of it.

So basically, LED's are very efficient makers of light and the main thing to look for is the build quality. Does it use quality parts, or is it just slapped together?

Enzyme action is very quick. It's like tossing a box of baking soda in a tub of vinegar. Quick reactions.

If by Adding a buffer to the Rez you mean enymes yes siree I diid last night. I was definitely not expecting to see a change this fast. I was bottoming out at 5.3 the day before! So.... YEAH!!!!!! Thanks once again farmers! You guys rock! Everything is looking right at week 5 lemme say again...THANKS FARMERS!!A bit pricey but only 2.5 ml/gal so I was NOT complaining. Directions state “media” 5ml/gal once weekly, hydro 2.5 ml/ gal w each new rez. So coco is really hydro right? So I went w that. Sound about right to you guys?

Also I would say part of this was a slight nutrient buildup or imbalance would be more accurate. While ppm remained the same the ratios in the media did not. But that goes hand in hand of what I was saying about the ammonium vs nitrate.

If more runoff from the start its less likely to happen but enzymes will not only help correct this but prevent it. So like with most things there is more than one solution.

I did add some time to my watering cycle when you first mentioned this but it was draining my rez much faster. So now I am going to take your advice on that short cycle timer and hopefully make some new drip rings that output the same amount of water throughout the entire system. Would installing a pressure regulator in each zone line be worth it you think?

You can buy risers with adjustable flow regulators.

Give me a few here and dig some options up.

Omg your so busy I couldn’t even catch hold of you and I’m the one casually kicking back reading your post LOL!! Yeah sleeps hard to come by sometime that’s for sure. I’ve got my veggie garden that’s like a vicious mother in law cracking the whip! If something isn’t wilting then it’s weeded in LOL!! I just last night finally finished a 12 inch layer of mulch hay on the entire plot. Fuck you weeds!! And water!

Going out right now. Potatoes getting the spinosad treatment, tomatoes get the bt and kelp/calcium cocktail. I like to spray early before sun and wind. Then goto the wet lands and there might be several somethings out there that needs a little drink. I’m not sure though I’m very forgetful when it comes to things I plant lol
