Hi my fellow community! Just wanted to quickly post an intro for the forum.
Gotta start off by saying I’m a rookie!! I make a ton of rookie mistakes and am actually more comfortable sharing my mistakes than offering any advice. Hopefully lessons/directions can be taken from my mistakes, so that you won’t have to go through the same experiences! I’m very transparent in my process so that it can used as an example.
Other than that, I have 1 completed harvest under my belt (which I’ve been enjoying for close to a month now - post cure). I am finishing up harvest #2 currently, and have already popped harvest #3. I haven’t yet decided if I’m a photo or auto person, but I do know that I’m enjoying the process as I learn what to do and what my terpene pallet prefers. I will absolutely post pics & info in my grow diaries for each harvest… pre apologize for lack of photos and documentation for first two harvests. Never planned on joining a community and documenting my process for others to benefit or appreciate.
Now, to end my intro here is my setup (in case any one with similar setup wants to follow along)…
Indoor
Hydro standard DWC
No Pests
Harvest 1 = Deleted Scene Fem Photo (Cult Classics from Sonoma County) AND Glueberry OG Fem Photo (Dutch Passion)
Harvest 2 = Trizkit Fem Auto (Twenty20 Mendocino) AND LSD Fem Auto (Errors Seeds)
Season 3 = Mother Gorilla Fem Photo (Royal Queen Seeds) AND Strawberry MatchStix Fem Photo (Cult Classics from Sonoma County)
I believe most of what I’ve grown are Indica dominant hybrids… but I’m not sure
I have 2 AC infinity Tents (a 2x4 and 2x3) with, of course, all AC infinity equipment (again - I’m a rookie, just picked an easy way to get started and established. I’ll Def post pic in my grow diaries.
I run two plants per harvest
Using Hydroton and medium
5 gal buckets
I water change AND feed weekly. Fill up reservoirs with RO water daily (leaving about an inch of air gap between water height and bottom or hydroton to allow roots more access to O2. This is in addition to the huge bubbler sitting at the bottom of each 5 gal bucket.
I use DynaGro nutrient line, DynaGro ProTekT, GH Cal-Mag, Botanicare Hydrogaurd (root inoculant), and GH ph Up/Down).
PH = 5.7 to 6.5 depending on stage of plant. 5.7 for seedling to 6.4 for flowering… allowing ph to slowly fluctuate through the week between that range to allow for proper nutrition uptake/availability.
PH of water prior to nutrient add + ph balance = 7.2 ish with about 400ppm (yeah my water is terrible, so I use RO)
reservoir Temperature = 60-80F
This is probably my weakest link, but only good thing is it stays consistent where ever it is. Temp is just dependent on outside season (winter vs summer) and where I place cool humidifier.
Not air cooled, but lung room stays 67-74F.
Luckily I have AC infinity’s controllers wifi controllers which allows me to dial in the perfect environment real time. So tent temp is always 70-80F
Humidity of lung room = 45-70%
Humidity of tent easily dialed in dependent on phase of plant (75-85% germ, 70-80% seedling, 65-75% veg, and 60-65% flower)
Both tents are side by side in my bedroom closet which is a standard 2x14
Light = AC infinity Iongrid T24 260W 2x4 coverage. It’s a dual light (not a board) with 2 drivers. Pics will be in diary.
I keep my light at 100% and constantly adjust distance depending on phase of plant.
