Hi mate it's coco im using was using 5ml katana roots and 4ml shogun start with a litre of water in smaller pot but think I've been over watering due to size of pot on original post replanted with coco and perlite and not used nutrients for 2 days, What nutrients should I use in this stage and how much ive just been using a spray bottle to lightly wet the surface nothing to heavy as didn't want to over water again.

No worries mate,
The best thing about soil fir a new grower is the speed, well lack of actually, soil is slow so you will have ample opportunity to correct any challenges.
Start a grow journal, give as much honest grow detail as you can think of, pictures are worth a 1000 words.
Lots of sage advice from friendly growers here, you'll do fine.

Yeah honestly it's greatly appreciated and I messed up at the start I think was watering straight after germination with nutrients and to much water I think the pot was soaking and potentially could of got root rot from what I've read so changed up on fabric pots I have the auto pot with the reservoir but just keeping at the 12 lite fabric pots at the min growing in coco with a bit of perlite mixed in I also had light at 600 watt to just as they was sprouting got a note pad etc and taking notes but like I said appreciate all the help and comments on here massively so much respect šŸ™

All good in the hood bud.
Another place for advice and learning are other growers journals that grow in coco, not just the pros but the new guys as well. They might run into a challenge that you would have and are able to prevent and also may give you a solution to a challenge you do come across.
Damn....mansplaining again! šŸ˜…

Looks like they are doing better. Sowing seeds directly in larger pots will result in a delay. Feed with every watering. CalMg with every feed/watering.

What brand coco did you use? Was it pre-buffered with calcium? Perlite ratio?

The only mention of pH so far has been:

no nutrients just water with ph level around 6.5 few squirts out of spray bottle

They look like pH may be somewhat out of band. Coco is somewhere between soil and hydro in pH requirements. I would shoot for 5.8 to 6.0 pH and allow some dry-back between feedings. If your coco to perlite ratio is around 50/50, you should be able to feed on a quicker schedule. If you only have a bit of perlite in there, it may hold your solution a bit longer, thus a longer dry-back period.

4 handfuls isn't much, so your coco is likely holding on to your water/feed a bit longer. From what I gather that brand is buffered, so you shouldn't be behind the curve on calcium.

You're not looking for a dry weightless pot, but you should observe some weight loss in the pots before feeding again. Your plants will tell you if you have waited too long, or didn't wait long enough. You'll find your rhythm.

Feed every time to roughly 20% runoff. Keep the pH in a good range for each phase of growth, and don't forget the CalMg.

Add CalMg, nutrients, then pH the final solution.

How much perlite would you normally mix to a 12 litre pot would you say in regards to 20% run off would I be right in saying what ever im watering would expect 20 percent of it to come out of the bottom of the pot ? Cheers mate

I would add about 1 liter of perlite and yes, 20% coming out the drainage

Thankyou I was afraid of over watering and killing the roots to be fair that's what initially made me panic when I started i felt like I was water to much to often

Coco with an aggregate drains very well and is difficult to over water once you have good root development. But allowing the coco to dry while a seedling encourages root growth, if you have a strong healthy base odds are the rest will be solid as well.

I prefer 50/50 because it drains quickly and that suits my ebb and flow system. Hand watering, I like 70/30 coco/perlite. No matter the ratio, you're still feeding to 20% runoff. The less perlite you have in your coco, the more time between feedings generally. That sort of changes as the plants grow because they require more frequent feedings, but you get the idea.

It would be great to see a photo of the plants. It's been 30days since you posted so i hope those have spread out and grown upwards? How far away is the lamp from the tops of plants? You should see yellowing at the top bud sites within a week and white hairs from the calxys about the same time plus or minus 14days since flip of 12/12 is when i see tiny buds form.
