hi there. I’m growing via the krakty hydroponics method. I keep seeing everywhere that it doesn’t work for growing bud but, ya know. More reason to figure it out. I’m on my second grow and will probably continue doing it forever. 4x4 tent, 450 watt LED, no temp control. 45-55° lights off, 75° average when on. I’m happy with the results and the lack of maintenance needed. No dirt, no over/underwatering, no pumps no airstones… the list goes on lol. After the first grow, a couple tweaks really improved my second run. First, dark buckets matter. Dark buckets = no algae. Second, a nice top layer of hydroton on top of a bed of rockwool grow cubes = no algae gnats or surface algae. I do two water changes throughout the entire life of the plants. One every 30 days. First one is after the veg cycle when I swap to 12/12, the second is 30 days after that. From there, I top off and add in nutrient every week or so. I’m using 5 gallon pickle buckets from firehouse subs and 6” net pot bucket lids I found on Amazon. This tent has 6 plants going. 3x banana starburst, 1x banana shack, 1x starburst OG, and 1x Thai landrace. I have 3-4 buckets stacked under each banana starburst to get them up to the same height as the rest of the plants. They are short squat fatties
-but yep, anyways, krakty is perfectly viable and requires no moving parts or plumbing to make work. Just some buckets and the right recipe in standing water
