Farmers,
I'm circling the bait hard on a short path distillation system. If anyone has any personal experience, please PM me.
There is that one extraction chemist on another thread. He would probably have a lot of insight.Looking at something like this
2L Short Path Distillation Kit with P2 Distillation Head
2L Short Path Distillation Kit with P2 Distillation Head Head for creating distillate from processed organic material.shopbvv.com
But I have questions if we have any experts here. Maybe a topic for another thread. But I am thinking that because of the much higher BP of THCV, I can get a THCV rich middle if I have complete control over heat and vacuum. I want to know the limitations of these systems, and if my chiller and vacuum pump from my 5L RotoVap will work.
I'm just gonna spell out what I am thinking to get feedback.
Use the press I have in storage

And produce rosin. Maybe live, dunno gotta think that thru
Run that product thru the short path
Using the temp spread in BP (428 THCV, 311 THC, hell CBN the only other one I would possibly care about is 365) Single out the THCV in the output.
I like the press over Eth due to the lack of alcohol to boil off and end up in the cold trap, the quickness of the process, and the ease of dealing with the resulting product.
Damn, Man! This is serious shit. Now I see what you meant about wanting "crystals." Couple this with that SPD unit and, well, My, oh my...
I have apple tart from driftwood genetics they are about to drop soon.I'm starting this discussion to help further mine and others knowledge of THCV rich cannabis strains.
I know that sativa landrace strains especially those that were native to Hawaii were THCV rich. There's a new one called thc victory, but what are some lesser known high THCV strains?
Durban poison, jack the ripper are a few but I want some seeds to acquire for breeding of my own high THCV strains.
Let the discussion begin.
I did get me some beans so if I find a really speedy buzz one that gives me reverse munchies I'll be willing to trade some cuts if you guys find some THCv.
Well I posted a link to a 1:1 THCv: CBG strain but it's waiting for moderator approval for some reason.

Check this out 1:1 ratio of THCv and CBG

It was just a video clip from seedsherenow, I don't think varinsG was even on there. That video listed THCa not THCv, was that a bad link?
