Looks good! Its good to lower the ppms now. 1000+ is high in my opinion. Running a low nute dose will help the plant with nutrients while ripening and clear out excess better than water only. Minimal nute strength.

I had 0 nutes going in. Using tap water instead of RO, it starts at 230 PPM. Then i added blackstrap molasses and water ppm going into the plant was like mid 400.

The run off is what had 1000 ppm, so that means there are still nutes in the soil, right?

me personally, I wouldn't add anything to the water anymore. You're probably okay with the molassas, but the soil should have plenty in it by now.
You have enough in your dirt to carry through harvest. cut in 10 - 14 days based on trichs.
Lot of people don't seem to give a shit about amber trichs anymore, I see 15-20 percent I chop. I smoke all day long and need to keep moving.

Just how I do it.

I don't know what you're running, but those buds are plenty fat, pushing for a plump for a new person could lead to headache weed.
Let it chill for a minute, learn how to grow smooooooooooooooooth smoke then start dicking with how you taper once you know the process a bit better.

Just my 2 cents, not trying to debate

Yes. I would taper down at this point but usually use a low nute dose (like 3-400ppm) to keep balance in the medium.

I dont use additives or molasses though. Just base nutes and potting soil.

You make an excellent point. Over nuted bud is harsh. And water only at this point would work fine.

To be clear, by let it chill for a minute; you mean water only? Also, what do you mean pushing for a plump?

I was using molasses because i heard it helps add weight to harvest. I also like the idea of sugar, to my newb brain it seems plausible to make a smoother finished product.

I am starting to get worried.. ALL of the trichs are still clear as fuck. This is an auto flower plant, that is supposed to start flower after 1 month, and flower for 2 months. Plant sprouted Dec 23, signs of flower Jan 23, which would lead to a chop of March 23. I know it doesnt have to be exact, but so far this plant has been exact.

I need to check my notes but I think I stopped nutes on Mar 8, so should be good there.

Now i am freaked out about headache smoke! I don't want headache smoke!! What causes that and what can I do to prevent it?

Plants dont eat molasses. And there would never be time left for it to break down into elements it could uptake.

Molasses is given to feed the microbes which in turn would feed the plant I guess.

Its myth and bro science.

Magnesium sulfate is the main ingredient in products like botanicare sweet. That can be beneficial depending on uour medium and base nutes.

Some plants get a last little plump up if you hit them at the end with nutes.
I would just water from here on out.
Relax, they are doing great.

Mollases is a mild cal mag supplement that also feeds the bio fauna in your soil. The sweetness transferring to pot is a myth, it can ramp up your soil fauna, but you should be good since you've been using it.

I think I figured out why the trachoma are still so clear... doesn’t the resin production happen most in dark period? The plant is on 20/4 light/dark... should I give it longer dark period now?

I typically germinate in 1.5" rockwool, I like the 1 gallon square plastic pots for veg, but typically drill them out quite a bit to promote air pruining, feel the plastic containers make transplanting easier when I move on to 3gal fabric for flowering.

CosmoGrows makes some good points, as watering evenly is something over looked by the novice grower, and applies both to soil and coco.

Groweedeasy.com turned me on to transfer pumps you can find on Amazon somewhat cheap. Can't believe I didn't think of it before, another tool to make life easier. Here's my watering rig...View attachment 932537

Ya these are awesome. Had one for about 3 years now, for water only. I use it to wash my dog in the tub too! lol

Mainly because its not done growing. The trichs will cloud/amber on their schedule not yours. Pulling food early will yellow up the plant but the trich go on their own schedule. That being said don't worry about it at this point. Keep water till they ripen or until the small sugars start yellowing into the bud.

What are y'alls thoughts on the dark period before harvest? Have read about some people giving 2-3 day dark period before harvesting. Has anyone ever tried it?

Don't know what it really did but my impression was that it darkens and fattened the pistils which is not something I like; as for whether it works or not I couldn't see a different but if I'm honest my eyes aren't great but I don't do it anymore

Some people swear by it, others say no difference. All these things people do are kinda like religion. Just pick which one you want to choose to believe in .

Personal experiences on it were basically this. With clips of grows I've done going multiple days, usually lights going off an hour or 2 before clip start.

Day 1 clip bud looked, smelled, tasted, and smoked no different than day 2-7bud. Plants were kept in dark after clip started due to laziness (don't have to water).

The bud does not look over ripe to anyone does it? I am confused as hell now. These autoflower seeds are supposed to harvest 10 weeks after sprout, which would be March 8 for this plant...

I do not want couch-lock bud or harsh tasting... What are y'alls suggestions?
