I had 0 nutes going in. Using tap water instead of RO, it starts at 230 PPM. Then i added blackstrap molasses and water ppm going into the plant was like mid 400.Looks good! Its good to lower the ppms now. 1000+ is high in my opinion. Running a low nute dose will help the plant with nutrients while ripening and clear out excess better than water only. Minimal nute strength.

The run off is what had 1000 ppm, so that means there are still nutes in the soil, right?
I don't know what you're running, but those buds are plenty fat, pushing for a plump for a new person could lead to headache weed.
Let it chill for a minute, learn how to grow smooooooooooooooooth smoke then start dicking with how you taper once you know the process a bit better.
Just my 2 cents, not trying to debate
To be clear, by let it chill for a minute; you mean water only? Also, what do you mean pushing for a plump?I don't know what you're running, but those buds are plenty fat, pushing for a plump for a new person could lead to headache weed.

I was using molasses because i heard it helps add weight to harvest. I also like the idea of sugar, to my newb brain it seems plausible to make a smoother finished product.Yes. I would taper down at this point but usually use a low nute dose (like 3-400ppm) to keep balance in the medium.
I dont use additives or molasses though. Just base nutes and potting soil.

Ya these are awesome. Had one for about 3 years now, for water only. I use it to wash my dog in the tub too! lolI typically germinate in 1.5" rockwool, I like the 1 gallon square plastic pots for veg, but typically drill them out quite a bit to promote air pruining, feel the plastic containers make transplanting easier when I move on to 3gal fabric for flowering.
CosmoGrows makes some good points, as watering evenly is something over looked by the novice grower, and applies both to soil and coco.
Groweedeasy.com turned me on to transfer pumps you can find on Amazon somewhat cheap. Can't believe I didn't think of it before, another tool to make life easier. Here's my watering rig...View attachment 932537
Mainly because its not done growing. The trichs will cloud/amber on their schedule not yours. Pulling food early will yellow up the plant but the trich go on their own schedule. That being said don't worry about it at this point. Keep water till they ripen or until the small sugars start yellowing into the bud.I think I figured out why the trachoma are still so clear... doesn’t the resin production happen most in dark period? The plant is on 20/4 light/dark... should I give it longer dark period now?
Don't know what it really did but my impression was that it darkens and fattened the pistils which is not something I like; as for whether it works or not I couldn't see a different but if I'm honest my eyes aren't great but I don't do it anymoreWhat are y'alls thoughts on the dark period before harvest? Have read about some people giving 2-3 day dark period before harvesting. Has anyone ever tried it?
