So i have limited options for soil in my area. I called my local Ace hardware and Happy Frog is 39 bucks for 2.0 cubic feet. My local nursery sells it for 22 bucks a bag. That's fucking nuts.

Ace is the land where obselete tools and hardware go to die. Their prices are astronomical because they’ve had to pay to store many of the same nuts and bolts since the late 70’s 🤣

I get it bro the money I saved not buying weed I put in dirt this year lights tent nutrients but now I’m ready for the show to start not cheap growing good weed .
But better than spending 200$ + a oz
I also mix my dirt with cheaper stuff kinda stretch it little bit

Telling my wife I need 200 bucks worth of soil is a tough one. Next year will be a different story soil wise though as long as i don't move my garden again.

My local Nursery and Hydroponics sells them at $20 a piece and buy 4 get 1 free. You can mix and match Happy Frog or Ocean Forest to get the deal.

Of course I won some Pro-Mix HP-M in a contest and now that's what I prefer and my local store doesn't sell it.

I've put in a request to have them stock it, they are going to see how many would be interested in it before they start supplying it.

Purple cow is the winner around here, coast of Maine Stonington blend is the best id say but the best results I've had is the old 1/3 each local soil compost and drainage like perlite or rice hulls (the Uber hippie uses cococoir and crushed shells and twigs). Compost and ricehulls is cheaper in bulk results kick ass you gotta top dress and water with teas but it's great! The plants will love you!

You may have to give mixing more native soil to stretch out what you are able to get, I dont think that’ll hurt anything other than drainage and water retention. Thats what I would do if i couldnt get enough soil for each hole. Hope you are able to get it figured out.

How far away have you searched for soil?

Our place has a yard for around 190$ thats the “gold super growers mix” lol they have a “regular mix” thats like 90$ a yard.

I'm going to be good soil wise. Just want to add something extra. Either that or use it for compost tea .
