So I have been reading some ingredient lists and keep seeing Grape seeds extract an or fruit extract. I started to experiment with making my own sweetener that I later mix with fertilizer before watering my plants. My question is has anyone else done or tried this. I use
3lbs of fresh muscadine grapes
1lbs of fresh blueberries
1/4 to 1/2 of lemon juice
I boil it down strain it then boil again until almost making a molasses or jelly

I have seen people make nutrients KNF style using equal parts fruits and brown sugar but never cooking and boiling down.. honestly you can prob get a similar result just using molasses but I would not expect either to 'sweeten' the plant, but rather the sugars will feed the microbes in your soil and they will feed your plant.

Yea I know the sugars feed the microbes I just use “sweetener” as a general statement. But yea I just noticed BudCandy an afew other companies uses grape seed an cranberry extract in it an I have so many grapes that grow in my lawn I figured I would try it and was interested to see if anyone ever experimented. I would think there’s a reason why BudCandy uses it. An yea I’ve always used molasses on other grows

apparently grape seed can reduce denitrification of soil. I can't find any info on why cranberry would be used aside from carbs for the micro heard

have you thought of making a knf FFJ? i'm not sure if grapes and blueberries would be common for use but may be something of interest for you..

also be careful with the lemon juice, it will affect ph

let us know your results

The acid in the cranberry is what keeps fructose and glucose from forming sucrose. Otherwise the plant would have to make its own invertase to process the sugar and microbes would beat the roots to lunch.

But you know, feeding da microbes and all. Cuz microbes got trichomes full of resin to harvest I guess. Do sugar farmers feed ants sugar to keep their cane crops healthy?

I'm curious what else they include in it, label only says water soluble magnesium sulfate

Hell I just bottled up some crabapple/apple ffe
