Nice.. I've been buying some dirty outdoor stuff cuz its pretty seedy. I'm using those to grow now, once I'm dialed in I'll start working some clones. Got some growing in the back yard, some in my office and my flower box.

Correct, but his setup isn't very tall. The lights aren't going to be able to be 18-24" up when the plants are in flower

I guess I'm just more weary about distance since getting a PAR meter. You can get them a few inches away from LED's but it's not exactly ideal.

Day 10 of flowering
Still flowering with the diy cfl hood. For the first week I was still training, but I haven't moved them in a few days. Probably day 7 was the last. Ended up adding two other plants when I switched to 12/12, then actually, still at four plants tho, lost two due to a dude check. Here are some picks. They are lacking power I'd imagine, but they are starting to flower. Seeing lots of hairs, and I noticed when I was defoliating just now, the leaves are getting a nice resin-ie feeling. I know there are some heat issues. Its not the ventilation, its the heat of the room its in. Curious, at anybodies opinion with the pics.

All of them are 2700k. That hood has 12 23watt (100watt equivalent) 2700k cfls. Four extras(same) around edge. I was planning on something bigger, 42s (150watt) cfls but these are much cheaper and they are seeming to work. If I stay with cfl I'll up the wattage in this box just use the lower bulbs for veg, etc. I've read some info on combining cfl and LED. One has what spectrum the other lacks. I might end up rigging something like that.

A pair of 300s is what I've got in the 'ol wheelhouse. What kind of area you got them in? This box is 47"x28"x52"(tall)

48x32x60..... Check out my grow diary.. It's my first ever grow so I'm learning ad I go, that being said I'm enjoying it thus far.
