Hello everyone I was wondering if it is possible for a Canadian to become a breeder legally. When researching seeds you can find many which have been created by Canadian breeders, so how are they pulling this off? Do they just do all of their breeding in places where it is legal to do so? I know that selling seeds is legal in Canada, but the question is how do the breeders legally acquire their stock?

There are even breeders in the states operating behind the scenes.

Legally...? Is there a mechanism in the laws of Canada that allow for this?

What I meant was how can a person legally become a breeder in Canada, would you have to do all of the breeding in places where it is legal to do so, or is there a way to legally become a breeder in Canada without breaking any laws. Are all the Canadian breeders who supply seed vendors doing so illegally and just not getting charged? Or do they just do so in places where people can legally grow MMJ and ship their seeds back to Canada to be sold? Does anyone have an answer to this?

I am interested in this as well, but as far as I know there is no way.
I have heard of cloning companies, but that's about as far fetched as it gets.

Ignore the rules, do your thing.

I've collected a shit ton amount of seeds, totaling over 20g's.

From what I hear Motarebel was operating in the states under the radar but had to hang it up.

Also from talking to my friend who owns a large facility he has never heard of it.
In Canada the breed game is non existent on a legal basis.

So basicly there are ways to get rid of your seeds.

I would suggest documenting your creations, having a grow thread, and growing some of your stock out or finding some testers who will be able to test your beans out. Good results will always spark interest, as well as in dept reviews and descriptions.

For me, I just keep on doing my thing, and when the laws change i'll be already set company-wise.

Also another comrade who's family has been in the business much before this Health Canada, taking the power from the people business went down is thinking of moving to Washington to start a seed company. So if his family has been in the underground and now the overground business for many years and has heard nothing or has nothing to offer (NO INFO) on the legal seed system in Canada, I doubt there is a legal way.

You would probably have to talk to a consultant about this over me, but from what I've heard about that is that if you don't have $1-3 million as startup your not going to be making it in the commercial production sector.

So for a small company for seeds where there is no legal market, I can't see a consultant doing anything for you.

Trust me, if there was a way, I would be involved.

Until then doing your thing brotha, make your strains. Shock the WORLD!!!

PS. TCVG Shit is a company from Vancouver... That Crazy Vancouver Guy's Shit?
Also Sow Amazing Seeds is a company which ships out of Canada. So maybe you would be better just going about it behind the scenes and starting your own website. BC Bud Depot (These guys are a joke, they ship all their packs to retailers, and when you order of their site they give you a whole bunch of shitty seeds which are all diseased, BLACK MOLD AFTER ONE NIGHT OF GERMINATION) Never had such a bad experience with a company other than the Seedbay (Which again is a joke, bunch of crooks).

Stay Safe.
