For people who work with only a few plants, how do you mix water for them?
I water with less than half a litre at a time when my plants are in the small pots but the smallest amount I can mix is half a gallon. I heard that after the bottles of nutrients have been mixed, some of the elements start to synthesize and become unavailable for the plant so I don't want to mix a whole gallon and then use that over time because by the end, I will have problems (I could be wrong about this but I think I'm right and I think that is why the nutrients are in separate/many bottles instead of just a veg and bloom).
Same with the pH.
After only hours of the pH down being in water, it neutralizes back to 7 pH. This is easier because it is easy to pH small amounts but it is still inconvenient to have to do it each time.

All i do is divide the amount of nutrients I put in based on the amount it suggests on the bottle and how much water I want to use. For instance;

example : calmag -2ml per gallon. If I only want to use a quarter of a gallon then I would divide the nutrient dosage by 1/4. Which would give me .5ml per 1/4 gallon of water. Make sense?

But how do I measure out 1/4 ml or 1/8ml?

Get an empty milk jug or distilled water bottle (4litre) mix a gal. Use what ya need and reseal. Shake before next use and ph adjust if you are only the amount you remove. Store in the dark.
I personally do this as well, but I do know some people who don't have a whole lot of money for nutrients in the case the gallon ends up spoiling so I usually suggest what I mentioned above for those who are trying to conserve nutrients.

I also think it depends on the type of nutrients that are being used. Some don't like to settle for long periods.

How does it spoil?

Would definitely not do it with bacteria or fully organic bit organically derived or synthetic... exactly as you said. All those should be added right before use
