Will do . Do you guys use silica in coco? Was thinking about grabbing some
I use silica every feeding until 3 weeks into flower when using coco. It increases the thickness of the leaves preventing mold from burrowing into the plant tissue overtaking your grow. It makes the leaves tougher and less tasty.

They look good, but I find seedlings to be most vulnerable to dying until they grow two sets of leaves. You don't have to, but I always cut a slice along those peat mesh and remove it before transplanting into bigger containers. Lots of people leave it on, and the roots will grow through it, but I take it off.

Don't remove the netting? You mean the mesh that holds the peat the seedlings grow in? I always remove it, nothing bad happens. I remove the mesh with a razor blade, sprinkle rooting solution powder on the peat mound after moistening it up, then plopp it into the new bigger container of ProMix Mycorrhizae mixed with worm castings and bat guano powder...grows like damn weed.

What I do, and I've been doing it awhile cuz I'm probably older than the dirt I grow it in...anyway, I take a razor, a clean razor, cut that mesh off the peat pods, spray the little mounds with seedlings with pH'd water, sprinkle a bit of soft wood rooting powder on the peat mound, maybe a bit into the soil mix in the new container, I use about a 2 litre container next, then gently plopp it in. Use a spray water bottle, again with pH'd water, and give it a good water with the spray bottle. I'd do it now if I had those...don't fret so much, sometimes, everthings "perfect", the plants go hermie on you, or you get nutrient lock or whatever, you constantly, I mean constantly learn from yoir mistakes doing this...there's really no other way buddy. Shit, just this year, my best plant from regular seeds grew testicles...I was so bummed. I never saw a male plant that nice and bushy, usually males are tall and spindly with larger gaps between growths...not this one, it was a beauty. I had to kill it and toss it in the garbage immediately...two years ago, I kept a plant that turned hermaphrodite on me in the yard outside, fukin' thing pollinated ALL my plants. Live & learn.

Thanks zigzag yes I removed the netting early on. Also im sorry to hear about your hermie were you giving it any light on at lights off would that be a issue sometimes I like to check on them at lights off. Haha and Happy 4th of july everybody! Quick little update…

Im getting ready to prep some coco for a transplant,
1)
they look ready right? Im starting to see a couple roots at the drain holes.

2)I got mykos and azos ill probably use some of either for the roots, what do I feed them though, I havent learned how to feed the microbes yet. Blackstrap molasses?
3) I added another indirect fan below them, i have one facing lightly blowing as well, is that too much?

So I just looked and the lil ladies are actually 10 days since seed. How long do you think i can wait to transplant?
Since Im trying to stall as long as possible. Im not necessairly doing anything to slow them down , im fingers crossed that the complex does their job with in a another week.
And i was planning on going to 1gal then a 3gal for the final pot.
Would it be possible to add in a half gallon after the solo cup or is that too many transplant shocks
If done correctly, there should be no transplant shock.

Do you think I should put the cotydelons below the soil? I think aqua said like 2inches below the first leaves
No. Put it so that the top of the root pod is just under the surface of the soil. If you make it deeper, the plant will stall for a few days.

Hey guys Idk if anyone is still following this thread but I was wondering

1)should I get a filter or something for my central a/c for my house? I found maybe 3 beetles so far and possibly a fruit fly or gnat i couldnt tell.
2)Also what temps are best during vegging? Ive been at 75 lights on and its kinda slower then i’d like.
3) when i transplant what should the moisture be like of the roots?

4) should I feed the new soil Before transplanting?

temps are fine, it’s best to transplant when the soil is dry, it’s easier and it’s best to water after transplanting..
the soil you could wet it, but you would want to do that like 3,4,5 days before transplanting as you want to water them after a transplant.

I do 80-81f. I soak the new soil 2 days before so it's not soaked but completely wet no dry pockets. Then transplant when it's half way between waterings.

Ok sounds good. I know my temps have gone up cus its 87 out and I taped my a/c nervously before work to keep these lil buggers out so im sure the high in the room today will probably be 80 at the least. Thanks you guys I think I got it

Make sure it's moist enough for the roots to come out and hold container shape. Then carefully prune the roots just a tad. If it's to wet, too dry, or too soon it will fall apart and then get transplant shock. If done right there is no shock.

1. A good HEPA filter for your A/C will help keep the air cleaner.
2. Mid 70's are good.
3. Lightly damp, not wet, not dry.
4. No. not yet.

Thank you guys i really appreciate the help @ComfortablyNumb I have a central air vent in the room what do you think I can do for it?

How long do I have to wait before topping? i should wait until after the transplant correct?

edit: fuck I just knocked over two of my plants, they didnt snap but bent about 90 degrees onto other cups. Will this effect transplanting? Should I wait for them to spring back before transplant?

also how many roots should I be seeing I only see one or two poking out the bottom of the coco

I like to top after 4 and transplant two days later. Last time I topped a plant was day 14 then transplanted day 16 worked perfect.
