I’m getting a decent bit of leaves turning yellow and dying off daily. Hasn’t slowed down or stopped. Not sure if it’s a natural occurrence or if I’m doing something wrong. Honestly not sure how far into flower they are but at least a few weeks. Looking for any input on if I should defoliate or remove any of the smaller buds or just leave them alone. I fed them some nitrogen but I don’t want to burn them I think they have plenty of nutrients. They got a little nutrient burn right before flower so I know the soil is pretty hot already.

Your plants look great. Don't worry about the yellowing. The plants are doing what they need to do.
What are you feeding them? Don't worry about defoliation. Just let them finish up.

Get a nice pair of trimming scissors. A bunch of sealer jars for curing. Looks like a couple of weeks to go.

I potted them with a “one and done” that my local hydroponics store recommended. Buildasoil 3.0. They did amazing through veg them I hit em with some worm castings and a little compost right at the beginning of flower as a top dress. That’s when I got the minor nutrient burn. Is there anything you would recommend I do differently? Or just let ‘em rip with the soil they’re in as the nutrient supply?

It's to late for this this year but it's great stuff if you start it a little early next year.


If you have access to 5-15-5 Pro mix from the hardware store asap will help them stack up this year.
1 cap full in a 2 gallon watering can once a week.

This chart can be helpful. Note that the need for nitrogen diminishes about the second week of flowering. At that point, the need for phosphorous, calcium and magnesium increases, followed by an increase in the need for potassium. That basically means using bloom booster type nutrients and Cal-Mag.

Is there a all in one, or close, product you would recommend I use? What do you think about the above pro mix recommendation? I’d love to take some good advice from anybody experienced to help these plants thrive. I know absolutely nothing lol. Googling and watching YouTube throughout this first trial.

I would recommend a dry amendment such as gaia green or craft blend. I think liquid feeding is a pia. But whichever you feel more comfortable with, go with that one.

There is no all in 1 for your plants at this stage of flower.
The 5-15-5 is a low nitrogen flowering mix that will give your plants a little nitrogen but bump up the Phosphorus your plant needs to finish up.

If you happen to have fresh clean wood ash available. 1 gallon wood ash in a 20 L bucket of rain water.
Mix well and let it sit an hour strain anything floating off.
Add a couple of cups of the clear solution to the watering can every water for the rest of this grow will also help.

i’ve haven’t seen a perfect nutrient blend ratio yet to easily use during the flowering stage, generally have to combine a couple to get proper ratios throughout the flowering stage..
yes i agree dry ingredients are better quality than 90% of liquid nutrients..
i use both and i stay on the organic side..
botanicare and i think advanced nutrients are the only 2 organic liquid nutrients i know of..
the rest are truly crap and an absolute waste of money..
some dry nutrients are water soluble and others are not..

i find you've lost a lot of leaves to yellowing for this stage of growth, so definetely not high on nutrients especially N

what’s that yellow stuff on your soil surface?
and you need to keep it clean of dying debris🤦🏼

no just leaves lying on soil surface and nearby..
early you said in a post they had nute burn?
how do you know that for sure?
unless you know for sure about what’s going on than always post pictures for others to see and maybe catch what’s going on to help out..
plants are starved, probably the raining has washed out the nutrients quicker than thought..
possibly now the immune system is compromised and issues are on their way..
outdoors can be soo challenging for some that’s why i say always plant in the ground for outdoors..
worst case which i have to do sometimes here as there’s a lot of clay soil, is i have to dig a 3x3 hole or bigger and fill with a good medium and feed it dry amendments mostly..
