How do you start your seeds?

I've germinated every which way, and I've gone back to planting straight into media, watering, and putting them under a 2-foot T5. It's easy, it works, and the roots have somewhere to go as soon as the seed cracks.
A simple paper towel off the roll, quite wet in a Ziploc, folded three ways and thrown in a drawer for a week has given me 100% germination over the last two seasons. Some barely emerged, and some were three inches, the rest in between. (I gave the big girls preference from there forward, but the runts caught up anyway.)

(Probably because they were quality seeds from Amsterdam, not my technique…)

Ive been having issues with germination for the first time. Every nasc dollar treez seed has been a flop. Mostly Humboldt. The blimburn is always good.
But those suckers just will not germinate. I even tested other seeds right next to them and different methods. All other seeds pop quick. Makes me feel crazy lol. Ongoing for months!

I like to do 24hr of paper towel, usually a lil tail is out by then and I stick into soil inside a heated prop box in my little tent. Clones are direct to soil. Myco and rooting hormone. I just started using the peat pellet things too sometimes. I do use an ro filter or bottled water as well.
Not sure what's up but I think it's best to just drop trying to grow them.

New grower here .

I don’t understand the paper towel, paper plate, baggie…

I drop the seed in regular old tap water, shot glass, 12-24 hours.

In the dirt, party cup.

My .02 ✌️
Well. I roll paper towel burrito style, in case I get really hungry. 😂
