Hi,

I recently purchased a three-control humidor that lets me set the conditions to 60% humidity and 60°F for drying my flowers. I also got a hygrometer thermometer to keep an eye on the temperature and humidity inside the humidor since I don't fully trust the built-in sensors of the humidor.

Is there a way to verify if the readings from my third-party hygrometer thermometer are correct?

I’m considering investing in a high-quality hygrometer thermometer for more reliable results. The one I bought on Amazon for $15, while convenient with its Bluetooth feature, might be on the lower end in terms of accuracy.

Thanks for any advice you can offer!
Best,BC

I buy a couple of humidity packs and put them in together in a mason jar for 24hrs.

I like the Oasis Caliber IV because you can calibrate it.

Wow that's a great idea. I will look into the Oasis Caliber IV. Thanks!

From my experience they are all pretty within a close range. I have the ac affinity controller, their humidifier, a third party hydrometer in my one tent and they read closely to empty tent next to it. Only had some issues with them reading off and Cap advised I had probes in the armpit of the tent. So I have them in the middle of the tent and everything seems pretty consistent. I do like having the extra hydrometer because it allows me to see the temperature outside of the tent which at least as far as I know the ac affinity may not have that feature. The ac affinity products have the ability to calibrate but if everything is agreeable within a certain margin I have no reason to trust one’s reading over the other.

That’s what I thought too until I started using the humidity packs in a mason jar method. My ac infinity, inkbird, all the small cheap hygrometers and the Caliber IVs all needed to be calibrated despite most reading similar (the cheapies that are just like a tiny square with numbers were the worst all 10-12 off and with no way to calibrate just went strait into the trash).
