Ive already started a VSCROG but I made the mistake of not thinking it through. Its a recirculating system so when it comes to res changes (every 2 weeks) its difficult to empty the tanks without lifting the plants. I could use a submersible pump to suck the water out but theres always a few litres remaining that the pump cant reach so how do you VSCROGGERS do it?

You plan ahead and put a drain on the bottom of your containers so that all liquid runs back to the reservoir. Then you just drain the res via a pump.

You're screwed, you're in for 2 months of pain in the ass lol.

Get a cheap water pump for an aquarium, attach appropriate hoses and have at it or use a hose to siphon it out. (I found that the measuring syringes work great for starting the flow)

As mentioned, next grow add a drain.

i made pick up tubes for my pumps using 1" pvc and a 90 elbow. the elbow comes down in the frt corner an i can get all but 1 quart out of 25 gal res. just cut a fe small slots on the edge of the elbow so it cant suck to the bottom.
