How is your harvest going?

Well i just feel slightly more in control of the plant in containers for weather issues. I can move them under cover. My final harvest went fine lost alot to catipiller rot but what wasn't lost is curing now in jars. I got plenty enough to last me till my indoor 3 finish they are nearly showing flower have been at 12/12 for over 10days. Solar huh, there's a few homes around i've seen solar panels on roofs. I'm not interested in researching that nor the cost. Yeah yeah the govt. gonna buy them for me. I'd put a woodstove in before i'd do solar but im in Oregon not AZ or Florida.
Oh and no the government won’t pay for it lol. We’re getting our roof fixed as part of the deal.

We’re in New England, but we have sun the entire day on our roof. We have no shade at all. My husband was the one who really wanted it. Our indoor grows cost ridiculous amounts of money in electricity because of humidifiers and heaters and AC and dehumidifiers. Lights are LED and not too bad, but the environmental machines kill us. Our house is ideal for solar. We heat with a pellet stove and a wood stove but this is going to save us on electric a lot. I understand why you want them in pots now. Too bad about the caterpillars. Do you know what kind they are? We have gypsy moth caterpillars all over the place right now but they don’t bother the plants. The Japanese beetles were bad this year but they also didn’t bother my girls. I’m holding off on my indoor grow for a few weeks while they put in our solar since they have to turn off our electricity for awhile a couple days in a row. I can’t wait to start, my grow room is freshly cleaned and ready. What strains are you doing indoors? I’m going to be doing a bunch of Hawaiian strains from Sticky Fingers seeds.
I just did a house that’s completely solar. Geothermal, electric hot water, all electric. Electric bill is $16 a month. I did two ther houses, one with a heat pump, same bill. Second gonna get rid of the furnace and go with geothermal. Solar is great.

Pain in the ass. Grew way too much to deal with and now my back is aching and I can't deal with it. Such us life.

I'm growing 5 plants at the mo'. My landlord says " have you any idea how much pot you're going to end up with?".

I told him stories of living in Houston TX, when it was dry, meaning there was sweet fuck all anywhere. I even offered to put $50 in back pockets if they could get some for me, just in case they were saying "no", when they actually did know, but just couldn't be arsed to get some for me.

So, on one hand...you've got rolling tumbleweeds at best.
On the other...you have copious amounts of bud to make you wonder if you can even possibly smoke it all.

I know which one I'd prefer.

hahahaha. I think we can only have six per household? Which I thought was nothing until this year, I didn’t realize what a plant could yield.

I bought a big open roof dog kennel for next season. It’s lockable at least ha. I wanna plant some herbs and flowers around the outside to make it less obvious I hope.
hows the harvest? I think just be careful what you plant near it. Other plants might attract pests and/or diseases or pm. Mine were surrounded by flowers are herbs and I won’t do the flowers again. I’ll stick with herbs like lavender, mint, dill, cilantro and rosemary. You have to keep cutting back the mint, but the really fragrant herbs help keep pests away. I found also that planting flowers just drew more attention because the plants grew far taller than the flowers and your eye was drawn to the flowers, which then you’d notice the girls behind it.

My very first harvest is drying now. I was just playing with a nug and got a sneak preview.

It's not dry yet. Still has the haaaaaaaaaaay smell. I'm dying to smoke it but it's still probably has daaaaaaaaays left to dry. I'm tempted to get a scale just to be sure of what I pull.
Nice looking bud!!

I hope we see a huge decrease. Our electric bill in winter while growing is about 800 a month.

Harvest is going good. The three plants I have trimmed yielded about a qp each. One more to go, think I’ll hit a full pound.

Okay good point, I’ve heard about the herbs keeping pests away, I didn’t think about checking which ones will make it worse.

Man I know mint is crazy, I bought a plant and it’s been about 8 inches tall for a year now 😔

well it isn't going any better here ... worst late august, september and october ever regarding rh

it's been 2 month rh is around 60% to 75% inside the room, and up to 80% to 85% at night inside the flowering tent.

lost 4 main cola out of 8 to mold and some secondary branches with the critical, planning on harvesting this week end.

and well the Candy Kush wich as been harvested 5 weeks and a half ago is still not dry, stems almost but still don't snap, and flowers are still too soft under pressure ...

first time i have this happening out of 35 harvest, usualy my weed always dry in 7-15 days ...

I’m back and have been in trim jail for a few weeks lol. As of now, I am up to a little over 8 lbs. Not counting the shake trim. I have two plants drying and I expect roughly another half a pound and that’s it. My OG came out nice, but the Pineapple is sticky sticky sticky. I’m impatient, I have to try the dried bud before it’s properly cured, and so far pretty damn happy with the results. I pressed some fresh sugar trim and got a potent wad of dab out of it. It needs a few weeks curing but I’m glad it’s almost done and thrilled with my results. Very pleased no mold or pm issues. As soon as the last two are dry and out of the grow room, I’ll give it a good cleaning and start my indoor winter grow. Doing some Hawaiian strains next, not sure which yet, I have a variety of seeds to choose from.

So let us all know, if you’ve started your outdoor harvest, how is it going?
I've been bringing down some big girls!!! The runt was a lb. Still have another week to go, but I love it. I still have the biggest plant up. She is definitely at least 3 lbs. It's been a wonderful harvest this year. Take care, may your fingers stay strong, and smoke everything you scrape off the scissors! 👍
