I blast straight onto my PTFE lined Pyrex dish then set that in a warm water bath (a bigger Pyrex with warm water poured into it) I bring it inside once I feel it's safe and I have a digital heat pad from BVV it has an adhesive and is glued to the bottom of my Pyrex vacuum chamber. I take the ptfe I blasted on and put it in my warmed chamber at around 95 degrees. I am wondering how long should I purge like this before I pull the vacuum?
I am aiming for stable shatter, any tips please
I'll add a picture of my chamber setup the picture of my setup was before I had PTFE
Thank you!

Looks like a rental you're working in? If you don't hate your landlord - a few pointers...
That pump is going to vibrate like crazy and will likely mar that countertop and break all the caulk lines around the Wall and sink. The pump is also going to lose some oil, and that will peel paint and dissolve the glue holding the laminate onto the countertop.
Also the heat pad under the chamber will also soften and bubble the laminate - so do some more thinking before your deposit is diminished by the cost of a plumber and cabinet man.

How can I prevent my pump from losing oil? I usually only run it for 5-10 minutes at a time. It only takes a minute to reach full vac. And it's not in that picture but now I set it on a small folded towel to reduce the noice from vibration I'm sure that helps enough for my counter too? Or no. Also maybe it's not exactly level on the towel could hat cause problem? As for the heat pad it has half inch feet and never goes above 95 Fahrenheit

If I just set the pump on my tile floor will that solve all my problems? Also do you have any advice on my original question? How long should I purge it in my chamber before I pull the first vac?

Those pumps lose oil as a vapor (looks like yours has a filter, but it's BV so) but also most anywhere on a cheap pump. A garage would be the best place to set up, but not with a car (remember the paint issue). I don't feel comfortable giving set-up pointers for hazardous situations and breathing those fumes is not recommended.
As to your original question, most wait until the material isn't active before placing in the chamber and pumping. Your problem is all the residual butane is going to be exhausted into that small bathroom thru the pump. (the filter doesn't alter that and you'll be dead if you're depending on a bathroom exhaust fan to save your skin....).
There's threads on people who purge in bathrooms and kitchens, or really anywhere inside a house. They usually include fire, police and hospitals. Like I suggested before, it looks like your wallet is bigger than your brain right now - maybe you need to slow roll this whole scheme.

Naw man I disagree. By the time I bring it inside it's only 2-10 grams of oil and there's not even close to enough butane to explode my bathroom.

It's more about how long do you guys purge your oil before you pull the vacuum. Im not as much worried about harming my counters or blowing up my bathroom because I think there's a very small amount of butane left in my oil by the time I bring it inside. I'm not saying I have it figured out I would like some help or tips on purge times please. It's only about 3 grams of oil if that makes a difference

1 - 2 hours per gram of finished product should be sufficient...

Getting your stuff tested when it's done will allow you to see how much residual solvent is left.

hope that helps

Actually, the term "purge" is used when pulling a vacuum to "purge" the butane from the material already .in the vac chamber and under a vacuum.

Most wait until most if not all the bubbles have stopped popping in your Pyrex dish after blasting. Then into a vac oven and starting the purge process.

After open blast I usually let it sit till it's not active and then place it under vac. I keep heat around 85 since you loose terps at higher levels. I purge till more bubbles appear.

When I used to blast I would put a fan blowing across the top of the dish and then heat and vac it after the bubbles stopped.

First off, I appreciate all the feedback. I have read "until it's not active" but it seems like it's never going to stop bubbling so I pulled the vac after 12 hours. It stays in the vacuum for about 24 hours, it's only 2-3 grams of oil. I usually let my vacuum run for about 5 minutes and I close off the valve but I hear about people letting their vacs run for hours. Should I be letting mine run for that long?

Put a fan blowing over top of it and it will boil off in a few minutes.

I'm no expert, but I do retain what I read for the future. Here's a quick blasting tek from what i can recall.

Blast into Pyrex dish
place Pyrex into hot water bath (double broiler way) until cavitation (bubbles) slow or stop.
Add ethanol to winterize (rh is step is either above the hot water bath or after.
After bubbles slowed or stop, put into vac oven.
Set oven temp to xxxx*
Pull vac to -29.5hg and leave vac ON! Don't turn off! Let run and run and run. This is purging the residual tane out. Flip slab after 12 hrs
flip slab again after 12 hrs. Flip slab again after 12 hrs.

You may need to purge for 24 to 72+hrs with vac running non stop.

I hope I posted that correctly. I didn't post any safety info. Use common sense. NO smoking, cell phones, or blasting near homes, ppl, property, or the like. Use your brain.

Wow I never realized, I just thought once my chamber reached full vac I could seal it off and it wouldn't make a difference pump on or off. My technique is pretty similar just without the winterizing. I just pulled the oil out and it came out great! Double broiler water bath for 12 hours, once I felt safe with it after a few hours I set it on a heat pad to keep the water warm. Then I purge for 36 hours in the vacuum burping occasionally, no flip because it was only 3.5 grams, which is my best yield yet considering it came from only 14g of flower. I'll post pics

3g or 30g, purge time shouldn't matter as long as it's not too thick of a patty. Some ppl purge for 5 days non stop.
