About 480w total. You have 16 sq ft and you want about 30w per square foot. So 16 x 30 = 480
This of course is a good rule of thumb, yes sir. If we're talking abo
I’m going go get a 4x4 tent but I’ve only got 2 100w sf1000 from spider farmer. How many watts would I need for 4 plants in a 4x4? Should I get a 200w SF2000 to make up for the extra? I will also be flowering with these lights
Hey bud, that 30w per square foot ONLY applies when you're planning to actually FILL the entire grow space. You can grow 4 good plants with those 2 SF1000s. I have a 5x5 right now with only a Viparspectra xs2000 , 200 w. I have 4 gigantic autoflowers going!!!

This is a pretty old thread however, (Edin) I use a MarsHydro TS 3000 that says its a 450 watt from the wall light. And without ramping the power up through the driver, it only actually pulls about 430 by my measurements. I adjust the intensity of light according to recommended PPFD levels and have never needed to max out the intensity all the way to 430 to achieve ideal levels. I run 4 plants in a 4X4 and have had two runs that pulled over 21 oz each and one at 17 oz. But still learning.

Old thread, but (Edin) and OP you should watch Dr. Cocos video on the Mars Hydro SP3000 on Youtube. He tests 2 in a 4x4 and gets some crazy results.

I really like my acinfinty ion frame. However already having two sf1000s I think I would add two more. daisy chain them together make a good grid area.
