Hi guys,

Apologies but I have a complete noob question when it comes to non auto's.
My experience is limited to auto's so I've never had to experience controlling the bed period and flip.
My question is does the plant grow much more during the flower period?
It's my understanding that you veg until the plant is to desired size then you flip, but do you have to account for much additional growth?

Thanks

If your light is not intense enough you may see more than double but most of that elongated growth will be in the first 3-4 weeks of flower. Some strains will stretch much more than others. Sativas generally more than indicas.

It's genetic dependent - grower influenced.

as said above - sativas tend to stretch more (at least double - sky is the limit) - Indicas tend to stretch less: I'm growing some BOG Bubble that barely stretches at all (x1.5)

as a grower you can reduce the stretch by using techniques (during veg and early flower) to create more tops (LST, topping, scrog, supercropping) -- a multi-top plant will generally stretch less than a single cola plant... also as mentioned: light intensity and type can influence the node spacing and height of your plants...
