how much compost?

Hello Farmers, I have 4ft L x 2ft W x 1ft h garden beds.How much organic compost should i mix with my soil? and also would my compost have the right stuff in it for flowering marijuana? or is compost basically a vegetative food supply?

There isn't a cut and dry answer. It depends on what the existing soil is like and what you want to grow there. For a simple veggie garden and assuming you have average draining soil you can mix 50/50 compost and existing. This should give you a well drained soil with plenty of organic matter. You can grow in 100% compost if it's good enough. Your beds with those dimensions are 8 cu. ft. so you can mix in 4 cu. ft. of compost. Does that help?
