How much of my rootball can i trim DWC?

Im having some clear slime and brown roots i use h2o2 every other day but it keeps getting worse now i came to the conclusion that i wantef to trim the roots

Can i trim almost everything and let it grow back?

Picture would be helpful, but generally I'd say yes.

I had to do this to some blue cheese in DWC.
Got severe root browning and rot near the beginning of flower, cut 75% away, continued flowering due to a time constraint. Thought I would get nothing, but turned out fine, lot's of new root growth.
BUT, conditions need to be perfect after you trim. Good water temp, water oxygen.
