How you guys trim the buds? Spring shears are killing my hands...

I've got a vevor bowl trimmer with a dry trim grate it seems alright, I've only trimmed a handful of lower buds with it.

I'm delighted with the job so far, if it trims lowers it's safe to assume it'll trim the bigger buds.

@SlingShot check out a silicone basting brushes they're very similar to canna brushes.

I like the results you're getting, sweet job. Thanks for the tip, I looked at a bunch of basting brushes but none of them had enough bite, too flimsy, so went with a very soft bristle nail brush, we'll see how that goes.

Well as I use a trimmer on my skull every few days I would love to hear your idea on what kind of guide your trimmers will use to prevent scalping of the flower on use.
Just come up with a coating on scissors that sheds the chemical components of the plant instead of holding onto them. I have gotten slight ( very ) success by chilling the trimmers but as soon as they warm ( 30 seconds ) they just clog up again.

My idea is a mini lathe. You chuck your bud up and spin it using a cutting tooth to peel off trim. Flower is trimmed in frozen condition to hold together.

I recently bought a pair of scissors on Amazon, but they’re not great—the trimming speed is too slow. Think of this: take the head of a spring-loaded scissors that’s already on the market, mount it on a powered handle to speed up trimming, and make the scissor jaws quick-swap.


Put simply, you just hold it and it trims automatically—wherever you point it, it cuts. What do you think of this idea?

Appreciate the note—if you could design a mini electric trimmer, what would you include? Thinking snap-on blade options—one tool with five heads—to keep the workflow smooth.

I really don’t know mate I’m an old fashion scissors guy tried the spring loaded snips great for 2 branches then gunk up then I tried the little sowing type scissors and the flogged me hands so I go to a cheap store and buy 3 packs of 3 scissors all the bowl trimmers and electric for that matter knock ya buds around to much that’s y they got hash catchers to collect all the trichs I prefer them on my bud I’m also only growing a pound or 2 indoor not shitloads of outdoorso for large quantity yea by all means get a bowl trimmer

My crop was dried and ready for trimming so I set about it yesterday with the bowl trimmer.

The bottom one is nightmare fuel they're all marble sized buds, there's some need a tidy up but all in the bowl trimmer saved me a lot of work.
