Greetings from Arctic Central Minnesota where we are finally allowed to legally grow our own cannabis!

I'll try to keep this short and sweet! I have these four blueberry muffins from Humboldt seed company very late in flower. We have a lot of milky trichomes, no Amber yet but I would say one week max till chop. We are at day 40 flower right now, but the pictures I'm posting are from day 35 although not much has changed. HSC says 45 days strain but from what I've gathered it's usually around 50.

This strain has been a pleasure to grow but I have some concerns about possible excess nitrogen in two of the phenos. Numbers 2 and 3 still have dark green foliage and show no signs of fade / yellowing on lower older leaves.

Here's a picture with different lighting for perspective:

Coco in 3 gallon fabric pots, 2 Mars sp-3000's and about 60% (30ish DLI) R.O water, GH flora trio, Humic/fulvic, rhizo, yucca, mag sulfate and bacillus. Fertigate 3x/day til run off. 350- 450ppm avg through veg and mid flower. Loosely following the cocoforcannabis feed chart with some tweaks. Began tapering Cal mag and micro after stretch, roughly day 14F to about 40% strength, and for the last 2 weeks only been running 1 ml/gal micro and 1.5ml 1-0-0 calmag. EC has been under 200 PPM for the last week and run off is coming out under 300 ppm. I got a little frisky with the lights late in veg and early flower but dialed them way back by week 2F after I noticed UV damage on number four and bleaching on number one. If I understand correctly this probably contributed to excess nitrogen uptake leading to my current problems.

These girls have one week left tops, and I've basically cut all nitrogen minus the tiny bit in calmag and micro, But I'm still not seeing that dark green foliage lighten up or any kind of fade. They are still getting p and k at normal dose.

Looking for advice on what to do here since I'm running out of time.

Would I be wise to start a flush with cal mag'd r.o at super low ppm, like 100? They're currently getting about 275 PPM made of 1.5 ml calmag (1%N), 1ml micro (5%N), and 3ml 0-5-4 bloom, But even at that level I'm worried they're getting too much nitrogen.

Please note that number four has UV damage from earlier in flower and is not nutrient related. #1 I suspect has some light bleaching from before I dialed the lights back.

Would love some guidance to save me from ending up with some snickle Fritz!

I will humbly obey the orders of more experienced cultivators than myself, Just take the wheel and steer me and my four ladies to Glory!

Thanks guys and gals, and happy holidays!

Hooter,

If you are about one week from harvest it pretty much over for the plant. Bear in mind, annual plants begin to senesce as the flowering ends, either filling seeds or not. I’ll bet the nutrient uptake has slowed quite a bit. The plant is not growing.

Hi Zill, thanks for the reply.

My best guess is she has about 10 days left til chop, But I'm not sure what you mean by "pretty much over for the plant".

Is this to say that it's too late to take any corrective action? She is certainly still growing in the sense that the buds are fattening up, But of course vertical and foliage growth have stopped completely. If the buds are fattening up and trichomes are being produced I have to imagine it's up taking nutrients..

Hoping you can elaborate a bit more. Thanks again.

Apologize. It’s an annual plant. Once flowering is over and seeds filled out or not the plant naturally dies off.

What I’m saying is that if you’re that close to harvest it’s pretty much toe tag time I doubt the plant is sucking up a lot of nutrients

Yes, I'm familiar with the life cycle. Thanks for your input.

I had the same issue and was told to start backing off my nitrogen sooner on the next grow.

I question your assessment that you have one week left until harvest. Closer pictures of the buds would be nice but it looks like you still have lots of white pistils and you say trichomes are cloudy without any amber. We all get impatient towards the end but don't rush it. I've grown blueberry muffin outdoors for several years and it's a wonderful strain but she'll be ready when she's ready. Plants look really nice!

Yes I'm sorry I should have clarified that that picture is from day 35 flower and I was posting on day 42. Here is a more recent picture of day 43 F

Heres a closer but shot of the top right plant with the darkest green foliage.

Trichs are mostly cloudy with slight hints of Amber setting in, (maybe 1% amberish). I will post pictures of the trichomes later with the digital microscope.

That picture is from yesterday so technically day 44 now. I certainly could be misjudging it but from all the grow diaries I've read The Max I see is 50 days, and some as low as 42, I'm sure that's dependent on the phenos too since the one in the top left is fading nicely and bottom right is starting to show some fade too but the other two are showing slightly amber trichomes and still have super dark green foliage.

I really appreciate the replies. I am definitely new to this and look forward to making some changes next run, so all the advice is appreciated.

I'm just giving them r.o water with a tiny bit of Cal mag and about 30% strength P&K nutes for a total EC of about 150.

It does appear the flowers are less developed on the two with the dark foliage, so I'm hoping they still have a bit more time left than the others, but the Amber trichomes starting to pop up have me concerned that they are close. I know it's hard for you guys to give accurate advice without pictures of the trichs so I'll take some close-ups with the scope later and post those. In the meantime, do you guys think I'm on the right track with the 150 EC low dose cal mg and PK?

My Draft included text and details of each pic and what plant it was, but it got too large and it said I ran out of memory lol. I dont have 45 mins to redo all the text, but the plant and scope shots are in order: #1, #2, #3, #4 (top left, top right, bottom left, bottom right). When I try to edit, none of the pics appear, just this box im typing in now, so I apologize for the lack of organization.

Day 45 flower today, and the girl top left is fading nicely w/ lots of amber and I think is close to chop, but the rest are showing some amber trichs with alot of dark green foliage remaining which was my concern. Thoughts?

Wanted to post an update of how these girls turned out

They all faded out nicely at officially 55 days. I definitely got a little antsy waiting but glad I did. Fed low EC around 150 PPM right up till finish.

Four wildly different looking phenos but they all smell absolutely offensive. sweet peppery petroleum dankness with unmistakable tones of blueberries and body odor. HSC really nailed the blueberry terps and this one is a gem.

thanks for the advice guys and gals. I'll post some trimmed bud shots when the time comes.
