Hi, anybody tried in DWC humic (humin), fulvic, ulmic acid from leonardite? I ve a product called blackjak. 20% humic, 4.5% fulvic plus other stuff like carbon etc.
Its completelly black liquid, suggested to use in hydro 1ml/1L but even such small amount will make water completelly black.

I assume roots will not end up white anymore :D

I'm using a similar product from nutri+ it's actually called black. It's a great chelater and really helps roots build some bulk. It has caused some confusion for me at least when diagnosing uptake issues I have confused pythium with just stained roots recently.

I am planning to use waterfall from side, circulating dwc with additional res outside of tent, which will fill other res in tent, that keep water lvl, where I want it. Do u think its better top feed one? I ll have a pump after all running in cycles anyways.

How often do u setup a new water lvl in pots based on planta age? I assume roots will increase water lvl at some point above net basket bottom part.

Hows the cleaning? I ve used blackajk in octopota and end up pretty messy.

Last time I ran a dwc I found it hard to keep water level optimal for young plants. Once they are established a little better it's easier.
I liked to keep the water level an inch or so below the net pots at first. Just have the airstones splashing enough water to keep the hydraton wet. Once the roots get down into the water, lower that level 2" at a time. I wouldn't top feed at all unless you want get them established first outside the buckets in rockwool cubes then transfer them into the buckets.

Be careful with strong humic. It can cause herms

Thats exactly my intention, I ll first plant them into coco plugs 3x4xm and when they sprout I ll put em into hydroton. I think that waterfall might help keep hydraton wet and also bubble from air stone while water will touch lower part of net basket for 1-2 weeks.
