Has anyone used or have any experience with mixing in a pelletized humic shale amendment into their soil/soiless/coco or any other medium. My friend is repping this stuff to me as a mixed in amendment to your medium. He claims it's the best way to provide Ca to plants... Anyone used or have any experience with this?

Mm... not pelletized, and I'm not sure why/how it's the best for Ca. I use micronized and liquid formulations, both from shale. Most of it's leonardite.

It actually helps aid chelation, and that makes nutrients more 'bio-available' and thus, you use less feed. If your soil is truly what you're feeding, and especially if you're using soil food web methods, then it's a great addition. Even more so if you're working with poor soils, such as heavy clay or very sandy, loose soils.
