his old lady is pissed cause when he harvests he stinks up the whole house..I'm sure he uses plenty of filters. He should seal up all the vents in the basement when he harvests. Plus I know he's got the bread to do some remodeling..tightening things up won't hurt anything. He just has to remember that the furnace needs air exchange to burn the Natural Gas in the winter months..unless of course he has a dreaded electric furnace...which would suck monkey balls..but it's possible...am I wrong?

answer: no...hvac is pretty simple..nothing scary going on here taping up duct work or drywalling a room...it happens everyday

I'm pretty sure he does..especially if he's complaining about the difference from heat to AC with smells. BTW that was a great explanation...he also needs to remember that the same blower that handles heat handles AC as well just no combustion going on. If his ductwork is exposed and he has an open return vent in the basement...it's gonna stink up good. Then when it is heating time, the lowered smells, fits your explanation perfectly.

Our furnace was converted from propane to electric when they changed out our HVAC with the solar installation. Love no longer being cold in winter AND not having to keep a fire going just to keep it that way!
So you do get angry once in a while?!?
Once in a while... yeah, once in a while. I used to have a real problem with it.

Pute, post this in cannabis johns A/C thread so he'll see it,im positive he can answer your question, hes an A/C tech/contractor.
Is he still around? I can move the thread.

It's the only thing that makes since to me. But is that normal. Makes no since, why would it intake different from the furnace to the a/c unit. I see the intake vents upstairs and one downstairs and will snoop around more. An hvac guy could answer this if there is one on here please chime in. This is stupid but the house gets totally overwhelmed within seconds when the a/c comes on and not the furnace. I must be stoned. duh!
In some older homes the HVAC installers would suck air out of the basement because it is cooler than the rest of the house. Thus the A/C unit doesn't have to cool the air as much to start cooling down the house. Saving you money...

Thinking that is exactly what is going on. Furnace intake is upstairs where it is warmer and the a/c intake is in the basement where is is cooler. Coupled with just harvesting some dank stuff.

Thanks......wow...I just took my first ever hit of cannarado's girl scout cookies and well now I see the light. Zoned for a few seconds.
Anyway, thanks. Appreciate the help.

Doubt if there is 2 separate intakes for heat and cool. I think it is simple as run times. A/C runs longer so it smells up the house. Hard to tell without an examination of the house. Sorry

Thanks John, wish you lived close, time for a hvac check up.

Since he's responded, I'm leaving the thread where it is. Cool?
