Hydro And Promix Together, Is It Possible?

I have a blue cookies strain thats very good smoke but a very slow grower. So what I've been thinking about is using a 4x4 ebb and flow tray filled with 2 gallon pots the pots will contain 2 or 3" of hydroton and filled the rest of the way with promix. I want to use the tray to feed the plants in a dwc style with a bottom 4" of nutrients in the ebb tray and several air stones.
My question about this idea is will I be able to speed up the growth process for this strain while still receiving all the benefits of using promix to help maintain smell and taste?

I guess I don't have any experience with this but I can't see why you'd want to use soil if you're using an ebb and flow system. You're mixing something that should be watered once every 3-4 days with something that should be fed 3 or 4 times a day. Sounds like a headache in the making tbh

Normally I only run pro mix the idea is to speed up growth rates without suffering from a loss of taste or smell by putting both together
