Hello and good day

I think I will grow 4 plants at a time in my 4 x 4 tent. I will train them a bit to get them the size I want in veg and they bloom them up. This is my plan for spring when we get back to warm enough temps I can use the tent in my cold room (which has now been insulated and I have a heater in there for the grow tent).

Currently the only method I have used is soil. I would like to go to a water system to try it out and I think it will be easier to dial in the nutrients with my fancy PH pen etc.

My grow kits came with very simple DWC systems but I would like something that will work a little better. I have a 1 gallon 6 plant box and a 3 gallon 9 plant box. Dimensionally I think they are too small to grow multiple plants without the roots getting all stuck together.

I see the general hydro farm unit and 4 of them would do the trick but are there similar equal costing systems that work better ?

So would 4 homemade tote boxes I can build them watching youtube and they cost about the same as the general water farms.

I am completely out of my element here. I would like a system that works the easiest for a newb like me.

Any recommendations ?

The more I play around the more questions I have :D

I was looking into it and maybe I can just make 4 of them in short totes so i have room in the tent. 6 1/2 feet is not so tall with a tote and space needed for the LED. I wanted to make 8 of them but we have to walk before we can run.

But 4 or 6 of those general water farm buckets would sure look nice. :D
