I’m super simple. Fox Farm Happy Frog and perlite. Used their Trio until flower and started with the CannaProducts. Pots super lite. I don’t water unless they are. I started noticing the droop yesterday before Sundown. They showing symptoms of overwatering. But in those small pots with the root mass I find it hard to think that's the case but it's possible. It's not to much water that causes this but lack of oxygen so a more compact soil is more prone to it. But they don't look bad at all.
How light are the pots when you water?
How cool does it get over night?
Is it straight cold water in the tap?
Here is what I'm thinking you can try.
Let the water sit in the sun and warm to the temps of the pots before watering.
Check the weight of the pots before watering and make sure they need it.
Water a few hours after they are getting good sun so they are transpiring well first. If you wateres with cold water before they get firing it's possible they will take much longer to get fired up and droop for a few hours. Which can be compounded by a cold water shock.
What I can think of right now with the info provided.
The big part will be making sure they have a chance to take up the water before watering again. But all those tiny things may add up to solve your issue.
What type of soil and drainage?
Now this is starting to make more sense. If it started late day they are drinking a shit ton and likely they suck it all before night. Try watering later like early afternoon 12-1pm). Then see how light they are first thing in the morning. If they are light you may need to split the watering to keep up with thier needs. Make sure when you water you see runoff. If organic nutrients just water until runoff, if inorganic nutrients try to get 10% runoff.I’m super simple. Fox Farm Happy Frog and perlite. Thanks brother!
I noticed you mentioned you have 3 plants in a 7 gallon pot. Did I hear that correct?
If that’s the case, I think you have a dominant plant that’s hogging all the nutrients and water, letting the others eat up the left overs.
As water is taken up the nutrients in the soil become more concentrated. That why I was asking to see how the ph and ppm of the runoff was. To me it seems pretty clear it underwatering. Making sure you saturate the pots will be key. I would not up the nutrients if the plants are green and happy. They are possibly more green because of the increased heat will lead to a higher uptake of nutrients and water and as the water is uptaken faster than nutrients the nutrient concentration will increase and you can see tox signs start to happen. I think you will find if you saturate the pot when watering and wait till about noon using temp adjusted solution. Your issue goes away. Originally I was looking for overwatering symptoms bit I don't think that's the case anymore.I typed all this before AquaMans post.
So as a new gardener if I come out in the am and I have one plant in a wilt state, I obviously want to factor in the time of day, temp, RO, wind etc as some of the main environmental factors to consider, but would the troubleshooting diagnosis go something like this?
1. Underwater
2. Overwater
3. Over Fertilizer - ppm of the RO was 850
4. Environmental ( in our case we had two weeks of 90+ temps and very high RO, and then it dropped to the 70’s, and the last two nights were low 60’s.
5. Shared Container issues. ( Root crowding. (Is that even a thing?)
One thing I did not mention is, I used Ocean Forest and all the other pots are Happy Frog. All but three plants were unusually gimpy this am. And the entire crop is absolutely greener than they’ve been all summer. The Canna dosage calculator prescribed this. I always go about 75%, but because they are always bone dry I usually give them 1.5 to 2 gallons. Maybe I poisoned them.

Yeah they do look greatThey are beauties though. That’s for sure.
Yes the first thing you wanna look for is over or under watering. They may need watered at different intervals with different nutrient concentrations. Treat each pot and plant as it's own. This is where running clones from the same mother makes things easier. They generally grow at the same rate and require the same nutrients etc.I typed all this before AquaMans post.

I actually typed out the post above before yours came through. So if it appears like I’m asking questions that you’ve already answered, my apologies. great stuff. Now this is starting to make more sense. If your not already watering to runoff try using temp adjusted nutrient solution around noonish to runoff. That will ensure the media is saturated. I think they are being underwatered just a bit since they are starting to drink more now. Watering to saturate the entire media is important especially when they are drinking like this and warmer temps will increase the uptake so during warmer periods you will likely need to water more. But this could mean you may have to reduce the nutrients in the mix to adjust for increased uptake

Yeah the reason I asked about the first of the run off is to get a rough idea how concentrated it was getting. It's not something that I would rely on but rather kind of a snapshot with other indicators can give ya some info.I actually typed out the post above before yours came through. Honestly, water temp never occurred to me until today when you guys mentioned it, and then I went in to the Canna site and they cover it pretty well.
Another thing is, I don’t ever measure RO from the top. I always get my ppm from the last shot glass full of RO. Sure, I’ll spot check from the drain pan a couple of times during watering, but I thought you wanted that last bit of water to drain out.
thats why I wish I had an old hand that lived close so they could physically look at them.
That makes a lot of sense.
Could be... Remember outside they are gonna have stress nothing can be done about that. Just do the best ya can and let her do the rest. All these reactions are nature's way to keep her alive so she has a built in response to everything. They look good bro give em time and see how this goes. Like you say enough drama for todayok, you guys can calm down, I think we’ve had enough drama.
So yea, so I think your prescriptions for how we water with a focus on the water temp is solid. Do you guys think maybe that combined with a 15 degree drop in night time temps for several days in a row is exacerbated whatever it’s going through
It’s still ain’t all that chipper TBH. Tonight is supposed to the coolest yet at 55 and breezy.View attachment 1011080View attachment 1011081
thanks fella’s!
Makes perfect sense bro. The pots with more plants eating more. Would split the feeds one for solo plants with a lower feed and one for pots with the multiple with higher feed. High salinity can also affect a plants ability to uptake water but that doesn't seem to over the top. Anyhow you smoke that joint and chive on brother. Just wanted to point out how you will likely need to treat them differently.I’m worn out from it, I’ll smoke one for you guys. Someone turned me on to a petroleum Cronuts#4 from the dispensary. When was the last time you guys ever had to buy weed? ita killing me to keep from chopping a limb fom
the auto.
A quick BTW. The GG4 in the photo tested at
1655ppm. Everything else is 770, 675, except the auto was 1560ppm but it’s sharing a 7gal
pot
thanks for allowing me to monopolize/waste your time.
cheers

I bought when they first went legal here... Not since. I have friends that grow also and if I ever had to pay for it again it would be likely I was in jail or dead and gone to heaven... Not sure what an oz is in heaven but I'm gonna guess cheap??? Kidding not religious but was funny.. well at least to me.
Man you have no idea... Take a peek through my posts here. Sometimes I'm lazy and don't bother fixing them. I swear new ppl must think English is a foreign language for me lol.Petroleum cronuts WTF?
How does auto correct pull that out of what I was trying to say?
It hit me after I thought about. I was trying to say, “someone turned me on to a dispensary pre-roll of Cronuts#4”Man you have no idea... Take a peek through my posts here. Sometimes I'm lazy and don't bother fixing them. I swear new ppl must think English is a foreign language for me lol.
Never heard of it but I'm lazy on the strain info and genetics. I honestly and this will sound bad more addicted to growing than smoking... I'm a lightweight smoker but Indo enjoy it and since my back and other family stuff looking into more of the benefits. Here is a laugh. I prefer edibles and my flower vaporizer over a joint, bong or pipe.It hit me after I thought about. I was trying to say, “someone turned me on to a dispensary pre-roll of Cronuts#4”
its really solid BTW.
