I 100% agree with @GNick55 once you saturate the media when growing in any prebuffered organic based, preferted soil, slow release ferts (even coco) you do not need and should not water until runoff each time.@GNick55 you don't PH even after adding nutes? If so I may have to try that on my new grow. My last grow got all jacked and I'm sure it was my fault over caring for it.
Yes that's true you have to read the plant on its needs and at different timesstart over is probably best..
in soil or even pro mix you don’t need run off or flushing unless you made a huge mistake in feeding etc..
i never have or do,
the reason people flush etc is because they are making mistakes than compounding it with flushing etc.. (unless they are experienced) than adding this and that..
keep it simple,
my grow i never ph, don’t have a clue what’s in my tap water, no ppm no ec, never flush.. etc.. when plants have problems 95% of the time it’s human error, so it’s best to avoid errors than you don’t have to do all the stuff..
just my 3 cents from experience and the same with a couple of my friends grows who are not on here.. learning how to “read” a plant will become easy over time..
please growers don’t blast me for this
like any other industry it’s just trying to create more products to sell you that you really don’t need.. anyhoo
peace brothers and sisters
Like I said at different times you do need run off as it changes and the plant makes its own ph in the mediumCooking that plant with the light. Compounded by your uneven watering which creates hot spots of nutrients in the media.
Water the whole thing until the media is saturated and you get runoff. Back that light way way way off... as far and as low intensity as possible. Then give it a week to see recovery.
It's showing heat stress because it's not transpiring to keep cool.
Try to get humidity around 60%
Yeah thats pretty high and likely to impact soil ph over time. If you can cut it with RO about 25% well and 75% RO.@Aqua Man I read the PH thread you posted for me it was a good informative read but one question. I have well water, does that make a difference. I checked the ppm of it once on my last grow and it was pretty high like 700 or higher can't remember exactly. Is there anything I should do like cut it with RO water or something or does it not matter in soil.
you have too know everything when growing with that kind of system.I grow in water, rdwc
I couldn't do it without a meter. I would always be chasing my tail.
even the bigger one has issues because at two months it should 4-5 times that size..Also isn’t the standerd distance from top of plant to the light 18 to 20 inches and I got mine at 22 inches the bigger one isn’t doing this just the smaller one and I haven’t used and kind of fertilizers just water usually filtered water
thank you, your so much better at explaining things!!I 100% agree with @GNick55 once you saturate the media when growing in any prebuffered organic based, preferted soil, slow release ferts (even coco) you do not need and should not water until runoff each time.
Ph is buffered by the soil. Unless you need to adjust ph for mixing purposes like silicate it's absolutely pointless to ph nutrients. The soil buffers the PH and phing nutrients is useless.
Marijuana pH Levels for Growing Weed: A Basic Explanation
OK I'm going to do my best to explain PH since its something that is for the most part greatly misunderstood and can be confusing to new growers and even experienced growers alike. This will explain why we need both ppm and PH meters to give us informed information about PH This will be a...www.thcfarmer.com
Nah I just sat down and wrote out a thread I can link cause I'm lazy brothank you, your so much better at explaining things!!
i’m glad she’s better, but pictures would help us decide that..so I’ve backed the light way way back and placed a half bottle of water in the tent to help with humidity
update on the lil plant in the last day he’s exploded in new growth actually doubled or even tripled in size since the last pic there’s still some yellowing on the leaves but the new growth is looking better
would adding a bit of carbon dioxide help at all? I’ve had friends do this with a bottle with vinegar with a small hole and a toothpick and a dish of baking soda To create some ?
I’ll post a pic tonight on them as I got to go to work in a few loli’m glad she’s better, but pictures would help us decide that..
your gonna have to learn to just leave the plants alone, other than watering/feeding your only other job is just make sure the environment is dialed in 24/7..
your gonna stress those plants so much that it’ll comprise their health and immune system and probably have hermies during flowering..
just my 2 cents..,
The white for now. Let them recover before to kering to muchOn my light it has just the white light or it has the burpel light or I can run both which would be better to run?
hahaha, oh i was the same, always thinking of a way to help them, etc.. but i’d just create new problems..I’ll post a pic tonight on them as I got to go to work in a few lol
And I think I’m just a overprotective parent good thing both my kids are boys and not daughters lol
