Thanks , I have one plant doing pretty good but it seems like 3 of them are really behide and I’m not sure what to doID put them much closer to the light.. about a foot away if u r led..
I just made the same misteake and ended up with small buds as well
Can you explain how cause I don’t know what I’m doing lolA little bit stretchy otherwise looking good
Appreciate it, I don’t even smoke I’m just trying to find a hobby.IMO they look ok and you should get a decent harvest from them. next time you’ll know more & eventually it will become abc
Your doing well for a first time grow
It’s crazy cause my plants were all about the same size and 4 weeks into flowering they started stretching pretty wild lolErm hard to explain Especially when talking natural stretching during the first few weeks of flowering into account.
Ok so the space between the leaves nvm let’s try another approach as am hungry & wasn’t intending to stay here long before getting some breakfast

A cannabis plant “stretching” means it’s growing unusually long stems with increased spacing between leaves (long internodes). This is usually a response to its environment rather than a sign of healthy, compact growth.
The most common reasons are for stretching are ;
- Not enough light (most common)
- The plant is trying to reach a stronger light source.
- Symptoms include a tall, thin stem, large gaps between nodes, and a plant that may lean toward the light.
- This is common with weak grow lights or when lights are too far away.
- Natural growth phase
- During the transition from vegetative growth to flowering, cannabis naturally undergoes a “flowering stretch.”
- Depending on the variety, plants may double or even triple in height over the first 2–4 weeks of flowering.
- Light spectrum
- Light with a high proportion of red wavelengths tends to encourage stem elongation.
- More blue light generally promotes shorter, bushier growth.
- High temperatures
- Excessively warm conditions, especially combined with lower light intensity, can contribute to stretching.
- Crowding or shading
- Plants surrounded by taller plants may stretch to compete for available light.
Is stretching always bad?
Not necessarily.
- A moderate amount of stretch during early flowering is completely normal.
- Excessive stretching in seedlings or vegetative plants can lead to weak stems, increased risk of falling over, and lower-quality canopy structure.
How to reduce unwanted stretching
- Increase light intensity or move the light closer (following the manufacturer’s recommended distance to avoid light burn).
- Ensure the plant receives an appropriate photoperiod for its growth stage.
- Keep temperatures within a suitable range for the stage of growth.
- Provide gentle airflow with a fan to encourage stronger stem development.
- Support tall stems with stakes or ties if they become unstable.
I have special Queen and special kush , it seems like the Kushs won’t stop stretching and I’m running out of roomI think they look fine man. This is me also at 4 weeks...
In my (pretty novice) opinion stretch depends on lots of factors already mentioned, but also strain/phenotype/indica/sativa. So larger internode spacing isn't always an indication of an issue. Are your girls all the same strain/genetics?
I generally try stay on top of keeping DLI/ppfd in target range over those first 3-4 weeks of flower. But as you can see I may have gotten lazy and the girl was reaching for a few days..
Still shit does happen and can only learn for next time :)

I had a 300 watt light for the first 1 week of flowering then got a 600 watt off Facebook for $100 so maybe that’s why there stretching but I have 2 special queens and 2 special Kush , I can see the Kush seem to be stretching more there almost touching the light and I’m running out of room lol i order a 3x3 tent so i can dry weed in one tent since it seems like 3 of plants are behind and 1 is doing really good , I been having fun with this so far I have like 7 plants outside I learn how to clone lol .I think they look fine man. This is me also at 4 weeks...

I noticed you did some training to them , I don’t know how to do that yet but I will learn next harvest this is all a learning experience for me so far but eventually I’ll be a pro :)I think they look fine man. This is me also at 4 weeks...

Download a power meter app on your phone so you'll have a general ballpark idea how much weight you're giving them don't just go by someone telling you to bring them down to 12 in that could be entirely too close depending on what kind of light you have I mean as far as the intensity of the light I know you have led but they very in quality and intensity and a foot from your canopy could easily fry your plantsThanks , I have one plant doing pretty good but it seems like 3 of them are really behide and I’m not sure what to do
True hence why I didn’t did i lolDownload a power meter app on your phone so you'll have a general ballpark idea how much weight you're giving them don't just go by someone telling you to bring them down to 12 in that could be entirely too close depending on what kind of light you have.
