How are my plants looking , this my first grow . I was dealing with really bad heat and humidity issues so I got the ac unit and a dehumidifier I’m currently at 79 with 52 humidity with lights on and lights off I keep around 71 and 46 humidity

ID put them much closer to the light.. about a foot away if u r led..
I just made the same misteake and ended up with small buds as well

Thanks , I have one plant doing pretty good but it seems like 3 of them are really behide and I’m not sure what to do

Erm hard to explain Especially when talking natural stretching during the first few weeks of flowering into account.

Ok so the space between the leaves nvm let’s try another approach as am hungry & wasn’t intending to stay here long before getting some breakfast

A cannabis plant “stretching” means it’s growing unusually long stems with increased spacing between leaves (long internodes). This is usually a response to its environment rather than a sign of healthy, compact growth.

The most common reasons are for stretching are ;

  1. Not enough light (most common)
    • The plant is trying to reach a stronger light source.
    • Symptoms include a tall, thin stem, large gaps between nodes, and a plant that may lean toward the light.
    • This is common with weak grow lights or when lights are too far away.
  2. Natural growth phase
    • During the transition from vegetative growth to flowering, cannabis naturally undergoes a “flowering stretch.”
    • Depending on the variety, plants may double or even triple in height over the first 2–4 weeks of flowering.
  3. Light spectrum
    • Light with a high proportion of red wavelengths tends to encourage stem elongation.
    • More blue light generally promotes shorter, bushier growth.
  4. High temperatures
    • Excessively warm conditions, especially combined with lower light intensity, can contribute to stretching.
  5. Crowding or shading
    • Plants surrounded by taller plants may stretch to compete for available light.

Is stretching always bad?

Not necessarily.

  • A moderate amount of stretch during early flowering is completely normal.
  • Excessive stretching in seedlings or vegetative plants can lead to weak stems, increased risk of falling over, and lower-quality canopy structure.

How to reduce unwanted stretching

  • Increase light intensity or move the light closer (following the manufacturer’s recommended distance to avoid light burn).
  • Ensure the plant receives an appropriate photoperiod for its growth stage.
  • Keep temperatures within a suitable range for the stage of growth.
  • Provide gentle airflow with a fan to encourage stronger stem development.
  • Support tall stems with stakes or ties if they become unstable.

IMO they look ok and you should get a decent harvest from them. next time you’ll know more & eventually it will become abc
Your doing well for a first time grow 👍

That was a cheep way to try explain streaching.
Now I had breakfast & a smoke or four 😉😂
In veg if a plant that is *stretching its stretching for the light.
Once it enters flowering stage during the transition from veg to flowering ( the first two the three weeks ) it naturally stretches.
You can minimise the stretch buy having the light the right distance away albeit you need a stronger light when flowering than you can get away with in veg.
* stretching is the space between one set of nodes & the next set as you can see there’s a distance between your nodes witch means at some point the light was either to far way or not strong enough.
if one plant is smaller than the other raise one by putting it on a upside down plastic pot remembering to include the saucer or something else that works.
That way you have the light the right distance away for all the plants.
You can look into lst ( low stress treatment ) to strengthen up your branches.
If some of the side branches fall over late in flower you can by yo-yos that you hook up.
I’ll post a pic of them as if I link you to them on Amazon it will probably ask to change country but you can by them your side.
