Hey guys. Most of my clones (caviar pink) have the taco and clawing. I noticed it during first feeding

-clones are 25 days in fox farm ocean in 3 gallon smart pots
- they re under a 1100 w led.
-18/6 lights schedule
-Day one i have it on 2% strength and slowly increased it.
-temps are at 25.5 (77) and RH is 60
- first time watering was just RO water, 2nd was RO with molasses, 3rd was RO with calmag at 70 ppm
I water about 5 days apart. I just water the middle, not the whole pot
-ph 6.2

i did my first feeding with fox farm big grow (2tsp) and big bloom (1 tsp) @ 300ppm

i noticed the clawing while doing the first feed

what can this be?? Some plants bhave taco leaves and clawing

Lights to close but that's only because they are having issues.

STOP the molasses... I swear I'm gonna start a crusade to stop this nonsense.

Your water is the major issue here... you are watering uneven and looking at the plants this has been a chronic issue that's not going to be fixed overnight.

Back the light off. And water the entire pot. Do it slowly and maybe a good idea to scratch up the surface and poke some holes since it's likely you will have hydrophobic areas in the soil now due to that.

Too much light would be my guess. Raise it or turn in down. I've found clones cant really handle intense led lights.

hey. Thanks for the reply. My lights are 4 feet from the canopy. I cant raised them any higher

i was told at the hydro store that molasses is good for development

Even if the clones are 25 days old they cant handle 35% of 1100w led?

when i just got the clones transplated ,i had the light at 2% and gradually increased it. Like 2% a day

Molasses is good to finish with. Just during last weeks of flower before flush. Over fertilization is a problem with molasses and it really makes soil ph go batty. I’d flush them ASAP too.

Thanks for the input on the molasses. Is that whats causes my leaves to claw? Since i only did one feeding on the 20th day

This is the mistake you made.

DO NOT USE MOLASSES EVER IN YOUR MEDIA!!!!!! EVER!!!!! NEVER!!!! NADDA!!!!

It should only be used in teas. I don't feel like getting into the debate or explanation... so you can accept or deny that info. Maybe someone else who understands why I'm saying what I am will chime in but yeah I'm gonna leave it at that.

Temps are at 77. Rh is at 60. Lights 18/6.

I used molasses one time on day 6.
2 tsp @ 60 ppm in 18 liters of water. Each plant got half a

Veg day 1 transplated clones and watered half solo cup with just RO water.

veg day 6 is watered with 2 tsp of molasses in 18 liters of water @ 70 ppm @ 6.

veg day 13 i did 2 tsp of calmag in 18 liters if water @ 70 ppm 6.3 ph

veg day 18 i did 2 tsp of calmag again

day 22 i saw the taco and clawing. It wasnt as exteme as now. I had the lights at 14%

That looks good... honestly this is a watering issue imo. Unless you have bugs.

Water the media to get some runoff makong sure to moisten it all and don't feed anything but water and cal mag. There is no need to PH adjust it and the PH maybe a bit whacky for the forst bit as the lime activates. Catch a bit of runoff and test the ph don't worry about the ppm.

Do you have airflow through the plants? You want it through the plants not down onto the plants. Keep the pots off the floor and make sure they never sit in runoff.

You normally don't want runoff but a small amount to test ph is fine. Just don't want to wash available nutrients out of the soil that using organics as a source.

The fix is getting the media in a good place moist not wet so the root and microbes are happy. To do this you need to get it completely wet once then you just want to keep it moist like 30-60%.

Different than when using synthetic nutrients where you want to flush some of the old nutes out.

The reason 30-60% is because you want a good air to water ratio... over watering is NOT watering to much but watering to often not allowing the media to breathe because it's always wet.

I'll second that! Molasses screwed my pH up big time with issues I'm still struggling to fix. I'll never touch it again.

I have 2 1100w led from California lightworks. 36 clones under each light.

my tent is 16 feet length by 6 feet width

i have 2 10 inch fans. (At half power) One for intake and one for exhaust set on a temp prob for 77

ok what’s this?.,
there’s more going on here than mentioned above, i see 3 fingered leaves, white stuff, spots?
you better post pictures in clear light as you may have a mildew or pest issue..

Gnick55. I had a bit of mold on the leaves last week. I was told to use milk and water to spray on the leaves. The mold is pretty much gone
