so it's about to turn August, the time when these women start to flower. I know I couldn't fit another photoperiod outside, butttt do y'all think a auto flower would work? I'm in Kentucky and Google says the next predicted frost is late October so I think I'd have enough time. Just wanna see what y'all think tho

go for it , ive just put one in a spare fabric pot i had...whats the worst that could happen. lol

I'm gonna transplant 2 Runtz autos into 3gal plastic pots in about a week. I got them outdoors under a patio right now acclimating them to the weather here in Oregon. Hot an dry. Little humidity where i'm at. At the very least we can move them under cover come fall/beginning of winter if it rains during late flower. Halloween harvests Croptober😉👻 go for it.

my dad lived in Oregon when he was in his 20s , he said it was really rainy . I wanna move there and open my own dispensary but the time isn't quite right yet

alrighty then , I just gotta figure out what strain to get
royal queen seeds do some fast growers ,(epsilon F1 , orion, lowrider ) , ready in 2 months....i was thinking of bringing it indoors to flower, my others would be finished by then so i would have a space.

It's not as rainy as i remember back in the 80's. And it depends on where you live. Too much competition in dispensary stores here and it's high crime target. Not where i live but larger cities Portland, Eugene they get hit quite frequently.

If you figure having them popped by mid August, you are looking at mid November finish! And the sunlight gets weaker and weaker and the weather gets worse and worse and takes its toll! But it only cost you the price of a few beans and some time to find out for sure! I wouldn’t expect any kind of sterling results growing at that time of the year, especially if your back east!

I have a feeling there is an excellent chance of a delayed frost over much of the US this year. You may have more time than you think. If your autoflowers were in the seedling stage right now, you should be harvesting most strains in 10 weeks from today.

If you face a frost, you can do what millions of gardeners do and cover your plants at night. Just have to do it in a way that doesn't rub on the buds, so no throwing a sheet on them.

That really and truly blows!!!!!

I get it though.....

Nice container grow, hidden, or concealed, works wonders.....you can move um around....be careful if the roots go in ground.....

Hope it works out for you!!!

Definitely keep the updates coming.

Urghhh.....

I swear I saw your plants, then I went to the top of this thread, no plants, so I changed my response.....

Kinda bounce around alot, so I apologize for the lack of remembrance when I posted....

Nice job!!! Plants are looking super!!!

I’m further south than you and you can do your autos still.
I would personally get some temporary cages made and waiting…..like big tomatoe cages or actual tomato cages if your plants are gonna be smaller.
Use them as a frame to cover overnight with plastic if we get an early frost. A little cold is good for yield anyway.
I had some up north a couple years ago. I let them go through some cold nights and very mild frost cycles. I got fat buds for no bigger than the plants were. Much better than the southern sisters I had growing of same strains.

What part of Kentucky N.S.E.W.
Im in NE Ohio, and think u could make it.
Less than an hour drive south of me, environment changes a lot. Getting thru October can be hard for us, with long photo period strains. But we do what we can.
