I read recently that light burn from leds stops the uptake of potassium , during my last grow i added a ts600 to my tent thinking that in the last 3-4 weeks they would like the extra light but the opposite happened, they just froze and stoppedI don’t run co2 but 100% intensity @ 10 inches is no bueno even for a 100 watt light. And it looks like your light just stock without any modifications is rated at 500 watts.
Def possible. I considered itif this happened within 24hour this look a lot like a ph, and/or nutrients lockout issue...
wich is more likely to happen with hydro, look like your doing ebb and flow with rockwool cubes right ?
I have a friend who runs hydro with a reservoir, he fed them twice by mistake and the next day they were looking pretty rough after he came from work. Thankfully for him they were young and the crisped leaves were left behind in the first nodes but yes, in hydro you can definetely fry your plants in 24 hours with nutes. That said, Im with you, they were most likely looking rough already because of the light but maybe not as much as now.Def possible. I considered it
Didnt notice the flood rig,
But even still, ive never heard or seen anything spike and just destroy a crop over night, you generally can fix ph lockouts and still manage a harvest most times, remove dead foliage and pick up the pieces regardless of medium, my main point is most cultivars will give you a larger window to fix thinga than 24 hours. Thats my hang up.
He could clear it up really quick if he showed some pics of the plants from last week.
Its partly why i asked if he could post a few.
Howdy btw @HerbalEdu![]()
Hey.. it's seems to be a nutrient lock out. Together with a nutrient burn.. the burn can be because of the lockout and the strong feed.Hey team,
I'm not new to growing and have never had any issues, anyway in less than 24hrs my healthy plants went from looking great to this...
Please help
Recover? I guess you mean not getting worse, that damage is permanent there is no recovery from that.Hey.. it's seems to be a nutrient lock out. Together with a nutrient burn.. the burn can be because of the lockout and the strong feed.
I can help recover it.. send me your total amount feeding so far in volume.. and the ppm of your feed.. also the size of your pots... if they aren't dead.. they should recover in about a week.. but no promises.
I know I a think or 2 about plants.. so let's see if it can recover.Recover? I guess you mean not getting worse, that damage is permanent there is no recovery from that.
Chucky you are an expert troubleshooter buddy. Gotta consider all angles!Have you really pissed the old lady off lately?
Oops, I spilled a little bleach in the resrvoir! Oh well I guess they will be clean, unlike the plate of my nana's homemade pasta recipe I made for you with all my love and you didnt like. Porca putanaHave you really pissed the old lady off lately?
I believe you are under the impression that the leaves will go back to normal... no it won't.. however it's at the time where defoliation is needed anyhow.. so if caught in time... he should still get a decent harvest... however I saw noone tried to help... so instead of letting me know y it cannot... lets see if he is willing to stick it out.. or restart.. however if he restart he will reach back where he is... and I fully understand y after 24hr the plants looks like this... it happens to me and it's before of a off nutrient.. maybe calcium that accumulated ova time and just crash everything in 1 day... salt burn due to precipitation of calcium with sulphate and phosphorus is the reason for this sudden change.Very nice garden you got going on there! Im not saying you cant help him, he needs to adress the light and the nute issue but I would call it solve the problem rather than recovering, he could be under the false impression that the affected leaves will go back to normal which is not the case, those plants are fucked but they can still give good buds if treated properly.
Well I see we on the same page.. once a plant is drinking more water than what's being lose to evaporation... then it's a very healthy tree no matter what the leaves shows.. with the right environmental conditions you can see new growth over night. But pot ppm must be fixed first.. I wonder what's his runoff ppm?No, I was saying that the term recovery could make him think that the symptoms will dissapear. And we have given him advice, pull up the lights and back off the nutes until theyre better, but if you wanna give him personalized assistance thats even better! Also we didnt think about defoliation, youre right plants are about 3-4 weeks into flower so its a good time to do some defoliation and get rid of those suboptimal leaves that will drag the plant and would have been removed anyway.
@Eledin what i usually grow.
Yeah, I mean the fact story remains that Homie‘s light settings were way off, man. I just wish people would stop trying to always red line their grow before they really had a handle on understanding all the different dynamics that come into running a micro climate to success and be a little bit more easy even handed with their applications of everything you know less is more until you find more and then when you get to more and you can have it and your plants have hardened off and they’re well off into their nutrient cycle. But I have no doubt that some of this stuff is attributed to uneven application of something, whether it be alkaline or acidic base or over usage of certain nutrients. Or chasing arbitrary ppfd ect. I think people need to be able to take at least four or five plants of different cultivars and strains run them all at the same time and be able to troubleshoot them all the way through to harvest and a healthy harvest before they go getting into large spreads and big buildings full of cannabis, you know It’s kind of counterintuitive in my opinion.Very nice garden you got going on there! I also wonder what the trichrome look like on the top of what’s left of those colas and whether or not they’ve been burned awayWell I see we on the same page.. once a plant is drinking more water than what's being lose to evaporation... then it's a very healthy tree no matter what the leaves shows.. with the right environmental conditions you can see new growth over night. There’s a lot of us that know a thing or two about them as well Homie there’s 1 million ways to skin this cat! but that’s what’s up. It’s always nice when we recruit more bad ass knowledgeable growers welcome to The Farm because I haven’t seen you around.I know I a think or 2 about plants.. so let's see if it can recover.
I was here since aquaman was active... I see he isn't around anymore.. I liked his "water table" analysis on soil structure for blending cocopeat for large pots. There’s a lot of us that know a thing or two about them as well Homie there’s 1 million ways to skin this cat! but that’s what’s up.
