Just checked out a couple of my Tangerine Powers and one of my Hawaiian Skunk Haze and saw this. It's only on the middle fan leaves, not the bottom nor the top one. What could this be and how should I approach it? Any help would be appreciated!!!

Could this be TMV? The pictures I duckduckgo'd look very similar. Everything is running at an optimum (at least I believe so)...temps are 78-75 lights on and 74-72 lights off. RH is around 30-35%, but I mist them often. As I back track in my head, I used an old spray bottle (3 weeks old) with a very tiny amount of a previous foliar mix, that consisted of calmag, Superthrive, and roots excel. I added R.O. water to that tiny amount and misted everything down. No problems on all my other pants. This looks like some sort of acidic reaction on the surface of these leaves.

silly question I know but are you misting with the lights on ever if you notice in the first pic far left your other leaf(s) (different plant? It appears so) are also getting them spots but they look "random" your second pic far right by the red cup your middle finger blades are browning like your foliar was too hot or they already had enough cal/mag or something but I'd change it up you gave them something they didn't like. I'm pretty certain that's not TMV though good luck

Kinda looks like bug damage. Alot of bugs will start down low in the middle of the plant because of the shade.
but I did.want you to know I smoke around my girls and put cigs out on my grow room floor and I never had that on my plants . probably not tmv imo.

Light bleaching.
What makes you say light bleaching? I ask because I never really had any issues except yellowing leaves and burning my plants the hell up during my very first grow in '06. I've heard the term before, but this is one of the plants farthest from the light, slightly shaded by a much bigger True Blueberry, and no other parts of the plant are bleached. I'm not sure if those factors are relative, but can you elaborate more considering those factors?

Definitely not bugs...everything is ultra clean and my coco is dunked pretty heavily. This is one thing I'm certain of.

You might be on to something, but the pics are of the same plant. I always mist when lights are on and off and I've found that you can do so without any I'll effect as long as your temps are cool enough so the water drops on the leaves aren't too hot...they're not hot at all...temp never gets to 80. I think you're right though about my foliar deed being too hot. I had been misting with straight R.O. for the last two weeks and after I did a feeding on Saturday (10 ml Canna coco, 7 ml calmag botanicare, one drop Superthrive, 1.1 ml roots excel, and .4 ml Drip clean. Sunday, I mixed a 1 liter spray bottle with one drop of Superthrive, 5 drops or so of cal mag, and roughly .4 ml of roots excel. I saw some slight yellowing of the new growth prior that I wanted to address is why I decided to hit them with that mix. Here's a group shot...the problem was isolated to the Tangerine Power in pic, which was the most severe...two other TP's consistent with a too hot foliar or misting with the lights on and the water droplets being over heated...Lastly, one Hawaiian Skunk Haze. My other plants were unaffected.

The TangieP in my original post is on the back row to the left of the biggest plant in the far right corner.

Did you catch what I'm talking about in that first pic and the 2nd?
I do see what you're talking about in the first pic now...good catch. That is another plant. I'm gonna go back to misting with the lights off and see if that makes a difference. The issue I was trying to address with the slightly yellow new growth looks resolved too, so I'll go back to misting with R.O. I removed those fan leaves, so hopefully those two changes will address this issue.

Thanks guys for the help...it's much appreciated!!! @sixstring @WalterWhiteFire @ChalkyWhite

You're in coir? Think K.

I have yet to cause that by misting under lights or the noon sun. The pattern is too even to be bugs or pathogens, IMO. I think it's to do with K. Sounds like it happened really fast, too.

Ive had the exact same thing before, which I believe came from lockout due to high soil ph,even though I do not know for sure. Mine corrected after a proper pH flush.

Add to that the rh is down in the thirties and transpiration requires active transport.

I misspoke. My soil pH was low, not high.

Literally any time I see damage like this my first thought is pH.

When we're talking about leaf discoloration/necrosis my first question is--What is the runoff?

I must've gone through this 50 times on these boards with various people and almost universally at the end found out it was lockout or burn produced by wacky pH values.

I have this same problem with one of my plants too, like burned patches, and the big leaves get very dark green and curl somewhat. Maybe too much N?
And maybe a calcium deficiency according to that chart.........what can you do about a Calcium deficiency?

And my runoff is somewhat acidic even though the water itself is a 7.
I have a PH up and down, and I added a few drops of up to the water, which is normally 7, but the run-off is still acid orangish 6, I think, even though the water turned purple when I added the ph indicator drop.
How much do I add to affect the acidity?

My guess is mag deficiency. Definitely not a calcium deficiency. Calcium def makes perfect necrotic circles that you can see on both sides of the leaf. Is the issue happening to the leaf that is exposed more directly to the light? Could be pH also but its not uniform in my opinion. Best way to correct mag defi is either cal-mag or foliar with epsom salt. Good luck.

Thanks Vector,
I think it might have been burned on some of the leaves, because I had sprayed them with the lights on and they were too close to the lights. I moved them away a bit and did more of the LST with strings, so I'm hoping the discoloration won't happen again..... They were on so few of the leaves that seemed weird, like it was more local. When I look at the leaves under my microscope, it looks like burned patches of yellowish brown.
Does epsom salt change the PH, and which way up or down?
