It can be a bit challenging getting temperatures dialed in when you have a fresh set up. But after a while, you can get everything functioning at full speed. And sometimes you just have to deal with things you don't have control over due to lack of equipment or whatever it may be. The first year I lived here, it was chaos getting everything functioning correctly. Never have I had to get a mini split ac/heat unit just for my flower room till here, only ever had to buy ac units to help keep the heat down.The main thing is just getting to know what you have to work with, and the way to make it work for you.

I’m not that bothered about getting things perfect tbh. Just need to grow enough for personal use. If I was gonna get serious with a large set-up and start selling it, then yeah, I’d try to get everything perfect. I’m unemployed atm, so maybe a new career opportunity for me? make back the money I’ve spent buying it from dealers all these years.

Idk where your from. But getting into any legal business takes a lot of permits and time as well as money to get. Other factors play into it to like zoning and approval of a tax id. It's not about just growing weed for a lot of us. But understanding the needs of the plant, and being able to get the best possible outcome for whatever the person has to grow with.Yes most people can put a light above a plant and water it with whatever they have. But it becomes an art, and a love language between you and the beautiful ladies. Also making the investment on equipment may not sound beneficial at first, but it pays itself off over time because of your not having to spend wholesale and consumer amounts of money but other than the cost of growing it. Once dialed in you can factor in everything and it's usually under $2 a gram for people with a decent amount of knowledge and over time that cost will decrease as well getting less and less because of the ability to increase your yield and productivity.

UK. It’s illegal, but they have got farms here now coz medical has been legal for 6 years. But the way I see it, if it’s legal for some then it’s legal for everyone. I might get a card next year. Will cost me about £75 for the clinic consultation, but then I’d still have to buy the weed, which is even more expensive than the “illegal” stuff and probably not much better. So I’ll keep practicing at growing it myself. Might get a card just for novelty purposes, or if in the unlikely event that the police ever question me I can flash the card. “ it’s ok officer, I’m special.” They turn a blind eye to it now though, presumably because they have more important things to do. I saw a YouTube video, not long ago, where someone did a survey on camera. They asked the officers, “what can you tell me about the law around legal medical cannabis?” Not a single one of them knew anything about the subject. It’s not a priority for them.
…..anyway, I’m happy with the little set up I’ve got atm. And it doesn’t seem to be affecting my electricity consumption. Just two lights, a 70w and an 80w. The main problem is me. I’ve had a disastrous year so far. Just keep fucking things up.

I’m not in the mood for maths this morning, but I wonder. If I could get 50 grams from an 80w tent (lights + fans) then how much would I be paying per gram? hhhmmm.
