im using a digital greenhouose from htg fairly priced with a cool tube and bulb also these guys customer serviceis good

I wouldn't buy a 600. Never again. I made the big mistake of thinking i was getting more for less..... not the case. Buy a 1000 dimable if anything. JMO

I would get a Solis Tek ballast. Why? Because they look badass and have built in timers. Pretty cool if you ask me. Either that one or a Nexgen. Nexgen fires up the fastest imo. Galaxy, Lumatek, Quantum and Hydrofarms Phantom. Global Greenhouse makes great ballasts as well.

In this order:

1) Solis Tek
2) Nexgen
3) Galaxy
4) Lumatek
5) Quantum
6) Phantom
7) Global Greenhouse

Choose one of those. You'll be set and happy with your purchase

Depends on your space. I run 2 600s and an LEP in a 4x6 over an SOG. 1ks would be to much in this scenario. That said, I've been running 2 phantoms for a few years now with 0 problems.

Everything ballest I run is a lumatek, Never had a problem with any of them in over a year running non stop pritty much

I do fine with with either size ballast space that matters. Solis-tek if buying just ballast only

Gavita pro. It's 15% brighter than anything else on the market. It has a professional ballast that won't burn out, or burn the bulb. The bulb loses 6% lumens after 8,000 hrs (22 months of continuous 12 hr). The reflector shape is very efficient, with great uniformity. my .02

I agree 100% I wish I had a time machine, 2 years and regretting every minute. I've purchased 1 1000 and the buds are twice as big as the 600's

Seems to be working..the MH is very white for a MH though o_O

i have some quantum 600's that have been used for a few years and have never had any problems.

the 1k I just got is a nextgen.... they're nice too.

quantums are my trusted though.... and 600's online w shipping are like 140. pretty bangin deal.
