I'm looking for 55 gallon rain barrel.

I just ordered the Ebb monster control module and I picked up 16 buckets for 8 plants. The only problem I'm having is finding 2 55gallon rain barrels for the res.

There so big I'm guessing I'm going to get nailed on shipping.


I live just east of Toronto Canada.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Before you drop major coin on shipping as well as the drums check any local food processing plants. Bakeries, soda or juice bottlers, any plant that processes foodstuffs.

Around here people want the steel drums for burning trash so they charge $5.00-$8.00 US for them but the blue plastic ones are, more often than not, available for the asking. Be sure to confirm what they had in them before you go happily rolling the barrels off their loading dock!

if so, the 55 gallon blue ones (food grade) are often available for 10-20 bucks.

that's some good advice. i'd also take a look at craigslist. in my area there are a couple of places that resell barrels, they advertise on craigslist.

Check your local scrappers/recyclers as well ...
The ones in Ottawa carry them, I imagine the same for T.O.
