ya but i was just wondering i mean if your lights can power themselves that would be AWESOME! and plus were tryin to copy mother nature. maybe having like you table lined with them somehow but ya i just might find a way to make my own solar panels and try some home testing. youtube is the shit shows you everything. and also i would just run all my pumps off them maybe a fan or whatever i can get as long as it saves me a little cash flow even if i dooo have to put em outside in this nice socal weather :).
well i have multiple strains. 4 master kush 2 face off og 1 black hole and one master OG kush. there actually statrting to come around! chessssssssssssss so im gonna chop down the dosages of my nutes and see what else will happen. mo need to nute burn but i already probably am :( fuckkkk it

Welcome to the forum, mrsgreenthumb. Good luck with your garden. I'm taking a break from Cannabis right now, but like to learn from the pros on this forum. Those members who live in states that allow medical grows are very fortunate. They busted a 65 year old dude with 100 plants yesterday about 40 miles from here. Used the helicopters plus he gets a weapons charge too. Don't they have better things to do with their time and so much violent crime in the streets. I have a 2 ft wide x 5 ft long close x 8 ft high set up for this fall. I use flourescents, 4 @ 40 watts for vegging and starting cuttings and have a 400 watt HPS for flowering ordered for this fall and a small exhaust fan and carbon filter on the way. Looking forward to posting some photos later on this year. The bottom is for vegging and the top part of the closet is for flowering. I use potting soil amended with earthworm castings, bone meal and blood meal and fish fertilizer. I drowned a couple crops a year or so ago and have been buying my weed from a friend, but the money I save will pay for my equipment. Ladies, whether human or weed are always welcome. What would this world be like without the ladies? Boring..!

When I mix my potting soil, I use one bucket of earthworm castings per 4 buckets of potting soil. then I mix my lime and wet it down in a small kiddie swimming pool until it's just right. When the water and soil are mixed just right, it shimmers in the light with the moisture but is not to wet. After about 2 weeks I add some blood meal and bone meal to the top of the bucket and work it in and use a diluted fish fertilizer too. I hope the next garden I have I resist the urge to use too much water and trust my moisture meter. I wish my closet was 6 ft long so I could use a light mover on my soon to arrive 400 watt HPs, but the more things you have in a garden, the more things can go wrong. The 1st garden I had was some white russian and it reeked in the vegging stage and I probably would have got caught if I had not drowned the poor little darlings. I'm praying the fan and carbon filter will take care of that problem.

Ya the carbon filters do work. i bought a random ass one from the good will for 20 bucks! it came with an extra filter and 3 extra charcoal filters. was fuckin hyped lol one of those i cant believe it things and it works incredible. i had them in my room and i didnt think they reaked that bad but when i took my 6ft plus ladies outside to give a good flush i swear i reaked up the entire neighborhood lol funny shit so ya there is definitely a noticeable difference you will see :)

I went to go poast a reply to dj why did he get banned? anyways that was an awesome find that he got a carbon filter at a thrift store for 20 buck my friend wanted to sell me hers for 175 I dont know the price range of em and the thing was huge so I passed on it. I am for sure gonna have to get one thou I live in a small community where everyone is "lookin out for everyone else' which to me is another way of saying extreamly nosey people.
@plant lover: thanks for the welcomes and the well wishes!!! I am sooooo glad that I found the Farm. You guys all rock and I am learning so much here. I dont really know to to many people in person that grow and the hydro shops are a hit and miss as far as info. So this place is awesome. Thanks again

Planet Natural has a special on a hydrofarm phantom digital ballast and a 600 watt bulb for $221.00
This does not include the reflector, but you can buy it separately, if you are interested. That's too much for my closet, but I thought you might be interested.

good lookin much apreciated I actually went and got another 400 the girls dont seem to be needing it right now but I will put it on em when i go to flower I think but thanks again

2 (600s) is better than 1 (1000) and the plants that are in that interesecting junction of light from both sources will get the most benefit. if running 2 (400s) gets too hot u might want to think of AC or air cooled tubes which means u may have to buy a duct fan to bring down temps. I've never done 2 (400s) but should be about the same if not just slightly less. good luck. just my 2 cents.
