If you keep the microorganisms alive by only using water until the plant is done with the nutrients in the soil then there is no problem I guess, just another soil. I think many people use that soil wrong because many people who have problems and come to the forum are using Happy Frog

This Happy Frog however doesnt look as bad as others. My guess is that the quality depends on where you live, happens. Also Im not the only one who thinks it looks worse each year but maybe its just that, depends on where you live. Sometimes it has huge chunks of wood in there and not just a few, and some people have complained about fungus gnats or other critters coming with the soil.

Having run Happy Frog many times, my guess is you're over-lit, over-fed, and over-watered.

Light: When I run LEDs, I hang them at the top of the tent, and manage intensity with the dimmer, ramping up to 50% intensity at the end of veg. Then I bump to 75% in the third week of flower, and 100% in week 6 of flower. If the plants show they want more or less light than that, I adjust.

Water: Over-watering is watering too often, as opposed to giving too much water at once. Happy Frog holds onto water pretty hard. Adding EWC increases that. I'd water slowly to runoff/saturation, then let them dry back until the pots are very light. You're in big pots with small plants. A proper dryback could take two weeks or more. That will get shorter as the plants get bigger.

Feeding: HF usually comes well amended out of the bag...runoff of 2500 ppms or more, sometimes. I wouldn't feed until runoff was 1K or lower. It can take three weeks or more to get there from new soil. It's also possible to get bags of HF that are less amended...so keep an eye on your plants for signs they're hungry.

Not claiming my way is the right way...it's just one way that has worked well for me. Hope that helps.

I would water them deeply, then let them dry out good before watering deeply again. Also wouldn't give them any food for a good while.
I bet they straighten out

Thank you guys for your input! This is my first time growing indoors.

Changes Made:
1. Lowered light intensity to 40% (ppfd 300-350)
2. Watered Plants (1/2gal to all 3) I guess its kind of a lose-lose situation because the lack of perlite.
3. Changed the fan position to just above the canopy.
4. Increased temp

Any other recommendations are greatly appreciated. Just wondering if I should just start over with better soil.

I am city, strictly indoor an Hydro. I am no good at soil indoor. I never have to worry about over watering.

I wouldn't. I've done great grows in unamended Happy Frog. Get your inputs straightened out, and they'll thrive.
Ok i'll let them run. I gave them water today because I've only watered these plants maybe a total of 4 times their entire life. I raised the temp but also increased the exhaust fan speed to see if better airflow through the tent helps. The exhaust fan was only ever running on 1 speed. I increased it to 3.
