Sorry I'm not looking for spoon feeding mamSeriously? Do you have any idea how much time those of us who post have spent doing just that? And I will remind you that the site admin spent a good deal of time, probably months, putting together and maintaining the GrowFAQs, which I will point out yet again are free and available for anyone to use. You want us to spoonfeed you. We're totally into helping out, but spoonfeeding isn't how.
Yes, but go easy because the FF soils are known to be 'hot' (too heavy with nutrients). :)I'm also using fox farm soil and humbolt county nutrients?? Is that a good mixture to get nice flowering
Ok..well I have a serious question for you guys than, should I use fans or swamp coolers for indoor growing? It gets about 80 to 115 where I'm at, the green house is insulated and I have a 13 ft long x 7 ft wide grow space
Thank you, an I wanna start with babies that are about knee tall? If that's a good idea..or should I just grow them from seedlings??Yes, but go easy because the FF soils are known to be 'hot' (too heavy with nutrients). :)
Assuming you're starting with seedlings and growing indoors, you're probably going to want to start topping them when they grow 6-8 nodes tall.
It's difficult when you're getting started, but don't overthink it, definitely don't overlove the plants and you'll get a good first crop. Then your next crops will be even better than that. For now, get this first grow under your belt.
Awesome! I will keep this in mind because I really wanna try an Ace this for my first time around..thank you for the adviceUse at least one fan to move the air around in the room so that all plants are feeling the breeze. But don't make it too intense like a windstorm for them.
Room temperature should be 70-80 degrees. This is real important. You will need an air conditioner for that. If your air temp is above 80 your quality will suffer. I prefer low 70s. The people with the pics of their plants that look the healthiest with the xlnt leaf color are the ones who pay attention to the air, both the movement of it and the temp. If you disregard this, your growth rate will slow and the plants will not look their best. The fan or fans should be 24/7 on. The air conditioner should be connected to an atmospheric controller which should be set to 70-80. Then you want an exhaust blower to vent out the room's air with a filter to remove the odor.
You need to ask your grow product supplier or hydro product supplier to provide details on how big of an air conditioner or how big of an exhaust blower.
Whatever feels most comfortable to you. If you get knee-high clones, you're cutting a bunch of time off your timeline to get product. But, you may want to get your hands dirty from the start, go ahead and see how it goes with seedlings. Your call!Thank you, an I wanna start with babies that are about knee tall? If I go towards seeds how do I know for sure that they will be females?? Isn't that what I need is female plantsWhatever feels most comfortable to you. Buy feminized seeds. If it was my first grow, I'd use clones. If I go towards seeds how do I know for sure that they will be females?? Isn't that what I need is female plants
You don't, not even "feminized" seeds. If that's the case then clones are for you. :)If I go towards seeds how do I know for sure that they will be females?? Isn't that what I need is female plants
Ask your hydro store. Also what size of carbon filter do I need for a 20x10 room? Also what size a/c unit for this room??
This should be covered in your Jorge Cervantes book. Just think, once you read that book you will know as much as everyone else. :speechless:Ok..so now I'm into this, should I cover the walls with reflecting paper (like the chrome paper) for light reflecting?? Or just paint the walls an ceiling white??
I prefer white over something like Mylar. It evens out light distribution and allows easier cleaning of the area. If you don't want to paint, you can use thin sheets of Styro (the stuff made for laying under drywall).Ok..so now I'm into this, should I cover the walls with reflecting paper (like the chrome paper) for light reflecting?? I've never used mylar. Just white.I prefer white over something like Mylar.
