Yeah I just want bigger harvest, and I always have this issue mid to late flower, so this kinda has given me more insight on the problem. I think promix is good at holding water good at holding nutes, good at holding salt.Hell! If you can grow and smoke it you’re doing just fine!![]()
I've gotten a lot of advice on here over the years, some very helpful, some sent me down rabbit holes I shouldn't have gone down. The site is great and always people trying to help. A lot of very good growers in here for sure.you should let a few of us guide you through a grow,.

same here , depending strain sometime just some phenotypes within strain, environnemental conditon at the time of flowering i have mixed result.
from perfectly fine to the end, to a few plants with issues not necessarely the same issue depending the pheno, or all plants fading early mid flower ... it's beyond my understanding .
i grow 8 plant of the same strain at time in SOG, no topping no lst.

How many of these grows was the same strain tho? It takes many, MANY grows to become accustomed too as many strains to get the eye for these things, and pure, hybrid or sativa/indica dom all act differently inside of the mountain of variables from just maintaining a micro climate.Lol but this is like.my...... 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13.... I would get a drill, or ice pick and punch holes in the pots, you would def benefit from that.3rd generation of the same plant, only a few days in the ground but they looking better with the rinsed out reused soil.

Still leaves bending in a weird way, but I was experimenting in the first generation plant and pinched the head every 3 days all the way through veg. Which even in the 3rd generation plants still showing the mangled leaves but a a lot better then the second generation.
You have given me a lot of good advice over the years good sir, I always stop and listen when you post. With my issue I have tried turning the lights down as you requested idk 3-4 grows ago I have been playing with the light a lot and the end result of turning the light down is slow growth. I know you know what your doing I have seen many of your grows, but turning the light down is not the answer. The issue does look like light burn but I increased the light last grow and amazingly the buds kept growing instead of stopping when I reduced light. Viruses might be it, maybe idk, but as of now as I put it in reused soil and did not rinse and the issue started when I up potted it into the reused soil, it gives me the thought I am just over fertilizing and I am not keeping my soil clean from salts. This would cause deficiencies and result in all kinds of leaf issues. Also since I been giving just water with a lot of runoff the problem is improving. Plus the new clones from the same plat that were taken when the plant already had the issue are not showing the stripping in the same reused soil that was rinsed thoroughly before I put the clones in them.It’s just common mag deficiency.

Reusing soil is tricky, aside from harboring possible viroids, how and when you feed in a soil with depleted buffers and food in medium overall is a huge part of it, if you still have trouble reading your plants, I wouldn’t go near that method.
I reuse soil a lot, but I also go apeshit cleaning and rehydrating the stuff which is another animal entirely. you gotta know and be able to tell if if a train of bs is coming down the tracks.
better safe than sorry.

What is the lengths of your wet dry cycle?
Solid.Soil is very light and fluffy even completely saturating the soil I have a dry time of 3 days. Soil is very lightly put in the pot without packing it down.

I'm listening but I can do better keeping my soil cleaner from salt, idk how to try to avoid viruses? Any suggestions there?
I totally agree with turning the light down and leaving it up and raising it has totally different effects. I've tried bother. I have 3 individual grows going 365. I've tried a whole grow at lower wattage, I have tried a whole grow at bigger distance, I have tried a whole grow at higher intensity and closer. When I drop the light too much we talking 140 day flower time and it just really never finish completely up. Then at the same time same strain I had 100% but greater distance, biggest buds I've grown and finished in 90 days flower. Then I over did it once just to see what the results would be and I now know what light burn and light stress is.Slower growth sometimes is better, you get the same result basically, just may take a little longer.
Salts could be the issue, but the mag issue isn’t driven by over feeding here, it’s
A, there is just zero in the medium,
b, and this is 99% of led users,
The intensity is causing your plant to pull it all up. Causing the tailspin.
I’m never in a rush to finish a grow either, so I respect the fact the slowed growth is an issue, but, overall plant health and proper uptake, super important too, sometimes an extra week and the end of the world.

Oh, and how long were you leaving the light throttled back when you did turn it down? And did you raise the light too? No? Because turning it down and dropping/raising it some in concert with that may help or vice versa depending…….thats my 2 copper.
Stick with it man, seriouslyI'm throwing everything I can think of at this issue it all my grows have it. Next on the list is assuming it's the salt. So one of my current grows the game plan is keep soil very clean feed minimal increase with deficiencies.
It's the step I am on. I think I learn weird. Ut I'm trying to do different things on different grows and using a process of elimination tactic.
Like I said I'm not very good at this, but one day I will figure it out.
My shit is really good but not very dense more fluffy ish. I think that's because of the issue I always have, they stank super bad also, and I'm averaging about 4 OZ a plant. Some less some more. But this little bit about using reused soil and the issue starting in veg not mid to late flower has me thinking it's the salts, salt would take time to build up hence possibility of mid to late flower when issue always starts. Same soil as last plant and same issue last plant ha. Now all of a sudden it's happening in early veg. It's the only time.its happened in veg. And right after I put it in the unrinsed soil. Salts make sense, but I think viruses might fit the bill also on this one. Idk I know how to keep the soil cleaner from salts, so that's what I'm going with.Stick with it man, seriously

Who are harvesting 1-2oz plants (dry! Dafuq?) out of 10gallon pots. That have everything under the sun wrong with them, just to claim it’s “the most fire shit on this mountain”

Yeah I have a closet grow going now with a lot more head room but only second grow in it currently so still to early to determine results. But I am working that angle also.Oh, and I will say this, getting out of tents (for the most part I still run them from time to time, just turned down as opposed to using a room)
Changed a lot of things for my overall experience. Tents can definitely be rad, but they can also cause compounding issues, s ok I try to push towards getting out of them sometimes…reflective surfaces don’t always jive with certain strains…..if I think of anything else I’ll drop you a line…..
