Excellent. I would avoid doing anything that stresses it from here on out like defoliation etc.

I can only speak for myself, but I would bet money there's quite a lot of us who wish their first grow even made it that far!

I really appreciate it, I gave it a lot of love and care, I'm glad it made it this far and its actually what caused me to be interested in growing other stuff, which is where the strawberries and pink blue berries came from which are doing really well too, and started my first clones on those.

There are a few ways to get lots of light in a 4x4 footprint. I use multiple light for a few reasons. One light goes out ouch. In addition with tethers it is easier to handle multiple hight plants if needed.

This is a nice setup, do you have any recommended branch benders? I suppose i could design and 3D print some but no point in reinventing the wheel.

It's funny you say this b/c i was mulling over a designing a rotisserie with a stepper motor and microcontroller to rotate the plant 360degrees over a 12hour period lol.

Will do, I'll be doing so many things differently next time, this was a nice experiment that had a lot of lessons. The center of the light has a circulation fan which i believe is what your referring to.

I dont mean to argue but when I looked at the data sheets for both of these lights, b/c I was deciding which one to get, they where comparatively the same and both where recommended by many people. Also the space I'm in cant take a 4ftx4ft light. I could be mistaken though, and could have looked for a different size light as well i suppose.

That it really likes the new light, 2-3 weeks ago I wasnt using the light seen in the images, i was using something much smaller, and noticed an issue with growth which caused me to purchase a much, much larger light I'd say the new light is maybe 10 times the size of the old one. I only started getting that massive growth on top after i changed lights, which tells me it really likes the new light. I'm trying to correct my errors that has caused the plant to grow this way previous to purchasing the new light. also another grower just posted the same brand of light on this post as well, and didnt make any comments about it not being adequate. If you are absolutely 100% positive the light itself is a problem I will consider spending another $350 on top of the $250 i just spent for this light, but it has to be the root of the problem which i dont think it is, however as a new grower I cant claim to know anything so if you have data that suggests the VIVOSUN lights arent great and shouldnt be used, please provide it so I may review.

The fan blows down, I dont currently have anything that can calculate the light intensity, I have a sensor that I use for soil moisture and temperature, it has capabilities to also sense light and its intensity but I haven't wrote any code to run the light sensor yet.

Exactly, It's my fault the plant needs help, I especially cant point the blame at a set of lights that I've only used for 3 weeks at most.

Thanks, I could still be using this one. Moving from this to the VIVOSUN is light years ahead of what i was using hahaha.
It's shameful I know. I was being cheap being as this was my first grow and realized if I wanted to keep doing this I needed to at least buy a decent sized light.

Hey Gaudy, here is a suggestion on how much light you need based on university and commercial growers.
A good target is between 40-50 watts per square foot. In a 4x4 =16x45=720 watts. That's why I have 700 in a 4x4.
In an open floor plan you just have to see how much space you are going to fill at perimeter of the grow. If you have a single plant 50 watts per square foot means a 200 watt light like you have will do 4 square feet very well.
Light specs are established with a long history. No need to take into consideration input on lights as from several things you have said you did your research and made a good choice for the size you needed. Keep on doing that. Math is math and research trumps opinion.

Yeah, I should have stated I had recently swapped to this new light in the OP, but I did reply to your first post mentioning to get a larger light by stating this was already a larger light than what i was using. It's all good though, we all over look things sometimes and dont i take offense. I'm just a data driven person which is why I responded how I did, plus I had just spent $250 bucks and had someone telling me I need a $350 version haha.

I appreciate the feedback and input truly, and will keep everyone posted on it going forth.

If you want thick ass buds .. lower that light a bit and chop the bottom buds. The energy will now all go to the top. If he didn't say it , I am.

This, because the plants food is light, don't over do it but yea cut off the larf its a waste of energy. The plant has a total energy and if you cut the larf off the energy they had goes to the big buds
