Not a novice grower but new to growing cannabis. Was awaiting the pests arrival to see what develops and it appears i have fungus. I dont have any pics to show here due to magnification.

- What are others doing for fungus
- What sprays (organic) can i use for cannabis for any issues
- do fungus gnats bring/breed fungus

As of right now I’m using the sticky traps and they have a noticeable amount of customers.
The Black spots on my leaves (maybe Alternaria) seems to begin necrosis and as it progresses, holes on the top side of the leaves begin to form.
Im thinking i caught it in time.

Anyone use Flying Skull Nukem ? Im thinking i can use that for everything

Thanks
BB

This is the only thing i use currently for bugs.

If it's on the top of the soil; the plant probably is being watered too frequently. Cannabis doesn't like frequent watering. Let the soil dry before watering.

I use AgroMagen GrowSafe for critters like spider mites. I don't use it for fungus gnats.

I doubt it. They tend to like soils that have wood chips in it. Wood chips are good for organic growing, though.

To be rid of fungus gnats, let the top of the soil dry, down to an inch or more. That's where the larvae live. They can't survive in dry soil.

Fungus is essential for the rhizosphere.

I don't.

Lalstop G46. It's a biofungicide. Can be used foliar and soil drench. It works wonders. I also use it as a preventative when transplanting. Get the larger 100g container, it's way more economical that way

And fungus gnats will damn well spread fungus. It's in there name for fucks sake

Being into organics personally I’d use nematodes
Interesting..i got a quick snap shot of someone using prey-mantis and lady bugs, forgot where i seen that but i know dudes use insects to battle ..thank you!

Yes they munch the larva up fast usually will see off a infestation very fast

For the gnats

Have you ordered from them? Been looking for a good source and those are good prices

What's with the sad face? Someone gave him bad advice, I corrected it. Sorry for the pottymouth
It was me
I removed it before you asked
Just didn’t think it was a great way to put your point across
I don’t come here to argue and decided to remove it in case you didn’t realise it was just my opinion on your choice of words and not a reflection on anything else
Also
I realised I’ve probably been the same sometimes and I was being unreasonable so removed it 👍🙂

Hell yea ! My first thought it was Alternaria but it also might be Leaf Septoria, after inspecting the removed leaf i was looking at some black spots on the leaf with the jewel loup and began my research otherwise you can’t even see it ..
Thanks

So in fact fungus nats do bring fungus and burry larva in the soil..

In my search, someone had said neem cake pellets for the soil
my garden supply recommended sulfur
More to come
Thanks ..

Well I’ve never had a fungal infection from gnats So yes they may carry fungas however it’s unlikely that it will cause a fungal infection

The larva munch on the roots

The black spots your seeing with the scope is either dust or the flying gnats poop

It’s no biggie either get some nematodes, dreach the soil with need oil/get some neem cakes, or use mosquito dunks or another version of bti
Various ways to kill of the infection

I don’t recommend sulphur not with cannabis for various reasons

I was mulling this over firstly sry @C0pperh3ad I think I was on my hobby house this morning anyway I’ve climbed down now and yeah, red face faced apology

With that out the way two years ago I had a neighbour stored dead mice outside my grow room window. That & they had a thing for feeding pigeons so much so I would wake up to a crowd of 20 ( no exaggeration ) pigeons on the gutter above my grow room window.

Pigeons crap is full of mites & they love the smell of rotten matter

In the summer at that time I had to keep that window open being organic my soil was a very attractive home for the mites.

I had a year long battle with them trying et all from d.earth to bti & anything in between.

The most effective was the nematodes hence why I always recommended them over other ways.

I’ve very much doubt you’ve got any other fungal infections or viral infections that you’ve mentioned in your post

I think you’re just seeing adult gnat poop

Btw have you other pics more recent than the ones in your profile
