t5’s are great and cheap..Last year New Mexico legalized it and I got 2 clones from a friend. Planted late, plants were stressed. After they settled in they looked great. Green and lush. Did one LST on main stem on each girl. They stayed short but did have multiple colas. This year I want to try indoor. I got a vivosun 4'x4'x80" tent, 450 watt Phlizon led, and hopefully some bomb seeds. I popped a master kush bag seed in a jiffy peat pod in a dome in like 2 days with a heating pad underneath. Then got 2 Malawi seeds, 2 dawgtrap, and 2 golden glues. Threw them in yesterday. Put the mystery gendered master kush in a solo cup with happy frog last night and a Mason jar on top. It looked happy when I got home from work. Just sitting in a sunny window right now.
I'll set up the tent this weekend.
Quick question in lights. Basically height and Dimming level for the little ones. I don't want to over do it, or under for that matter.
Anyways, thanks for any ideas and happy growing

Light power should be low for seedlings. Does the manual for your light have a recommendation?Quick question in lights. Basically height and Dimming level for the little ones. I don't want to over do it, or under for that matter.
Yes, but I would rather ask a large group of experienced individuals than rely on poorly written engrish manual. It's a Phlizon pl 4500 with quantum board. Dims to 25%Light power should be low for seedlings. Does the manual for your light have a recommendation?
I'm not one of those people, but just out of curiosity, what does the manufacturer recommend? It is, at least, a starting point.Yes, but I would rather ask a large group of experienced individuals than rely on poorly written English manual. It's a Phlizon pl 4500 with quantum board. Dims to 25%
Maybe. If they're stretching, then they need more light. They are in a sunny window but I'm sure they would appreciate some supplemental photons
Don't know. I don't use fluorescent lights. It sounds like it may be too close, though. How about a 2 tube fluorescent 12" away
watch having it in the window as the sun can be magnified and dry that little girl..How long should I go in the solo cups. I was afraid to ask observationalist. Have you seen his 5 x5 thread? That looked like way too much work, WOW! Thanks for your insight....
When I started using fluorescent lights about 15 years ago I used T8 lights and they work pretty good I built a 4' - 4 tube box out of 1 - 4 tube 8' fixture and I used it for years until I upgraded to T5 4-5 years ago. I use a 4 tube 4 ft and a single 4' T5 as a side light in my veg closet. I can grow 8 plants in 3 gallon pots for 2 months before I flip them in there. I added another 4ft -2 tube and a 2 ft 2- tube in an extension off my main closet for clones and smaller plants if I need to.watch having it in the window as the sun can be magnified and dry that little girl..
won’t need a transplant for a couple weeks.,
mmm those lights should be higher than 12 inches
just go buy some t5’s from your local gardening store.. even home depot probably has them..
this technology is super inefficient, only better than incandescent. stick with the led for seedlingDon't know. I don't use fluorescent lights. It sounds like it may be too close, though.
