I never defoliate till they are in flower. I don’t think you’re in mold country. At least not yet. The few times I’ve wound up with two to a pot, one of them always seem to dominate the feeding frenzy. If you want to try dumping some N on the yellow one, make sure it is something with a lot of water, soluble,N. It takes a lot of time for water insoluble nitrogen to break down. I would keep feeding them as long as they look good. And if you want to spend the bucks, you might snag some recharge and water once a week with that. It doesn’t hurt anything and I think it helps break down the water in soluble nutrients that are in the soil. You might have a month yet till they start flowering. I’m not sure you’re a little farther south. So they may start flowering sooner. Ain’t this fun!

When I dumped someN on my yeller ones, it helps a little, but not a whole lot. But the bud that came off of the yellow one was nothing to scoff at so keep her going!

I've been using recharge. Gonna dump some more fish emulsion. When to taper off on the N?

I would wait until you start to see them flower. Unless you think the soil is really loaded up with nitrogen. Then maybe the second or third week of August. The recharge should help with using up. Whatever’s in the soil. And the plants are usually pretty good about just using what they need. I just try and set up the smorgasbord or Buffay and let them pick what they want!

Is this a deficiency. I remember seeing it on some of my early indoor plants. The super lemon haze and the Malawi clone have like a rusting on a few leaves. Oddly, they are the 2 youngest and least stressed plants on the roof.

I make my soil, so I don’t see many deficiencies other than nitrogen. So not good at diagnosing them. Maybe someone else will take a look.

Is that the only spot like that? Or are the variegated edges the leaves all showing the brown? It looks as if the leaves are cupping upwards on the damaged leaves. Being an indoor guy, I find it hard to say heat stress. It looks like that though.

Do I need to do anything special for the monster cropped Malawi? The rest of the girls are enjoying the cloud cover.

I bumped up the fish and giving extra water on no water days. Removed a bunch of browned leaves. Cleaned up the dawg too. All the big leaves died in the great dry out of 2023. All the leaves are small on the dawg. Should I be concerned? Also the Hydro shop dude (cool cat)suggested a while back that recharge should not be used all the way through flowering. Do you agree? Hope you're cooling down there.
